UNCC has handed another corporation a captive set of buyers on a platter instead of running a bookstore themselves and offering books at a reasonable price to students. B&N in cahoots with UNCC, follow deceptive practices, such as "bundling" two or more books and giving it a new ISBN#, so that students cant even find it anywhere; then when you call them and ask them which books are part of the bundle, they refuse to tell you, so you are forced to buy those ridiculous bundles from B&N. If a college bookstore earns a profit, it goes to the college; here it goes to B&N...who will not invest it back or reduce their prices. This is how crony capitalism works.

Called TEN times, call kept ringing for 3 minutes or less and then the call disconnected. All I needed to know what the darn ISBN number for the Second Summer Session class that I have. I mean seriously, you would think in all the money this school sucks up they could at least answer the phone. This is absolutely ridiculous!! I guess I will try calling tomorrow morning, maybe then they will answer the call the 1st time rather than not answer even after the TENTH TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For all I know, they will never answer the phone and I will simply have to wait for the class to start and then see the required textbook in the syllabus.

The staff is ALWAYS grumpy. I understand that you deal with book returns all day and beginning and end of semester is stressful, but thats no reason to be rude to the customers. Its frustrating to have to work with someone who is frustrated, if you cant handle high stress, then s book store during peak times isnt the job for you. I bet its a very cozy job the other 99% of the semester so save up some energy for those hard few weeks. Books are also overpriced as usual, you can find them cheaper elsewhere.

I do not even want to give this bookstore one star. My daughter purchased a book on January 5th and was NOT told that the book would arrive after the set return date of the 13th at the time of purchase. She had to have the book for an assignment and purchased another copy somewhere else. We are now out $81+ for the book we cannot return to UNC Charlotte Bookstore. DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR TEXTBOOKS HERE!!!! There are many other options with suitable return policies!

This bookstore is a bad option for buying books and offers a frustrating illusion of convenience. Instead of offering good deals to students, books here are often marked up 50% from the prices seen on the Barnes & Noble website. Markups are even greater when compared to Amazon. This is an embarrassment to the university and something needs to be done to bring the prices down to competitive levels for students.

There are only two reasons you should ever go to this bookstore - if your class has a workbook that you cant order off of amazon, or you want to browse the pens, paper, or bargain books in the upper floors. Text books are a racket, of course, but you can get almost anything far cheaper online, and Grays offers UNCC branded merchandise for cheaper prices than the Bookstore will be able to provide.

Theres not clear instruction on what to or what books are unavailable. Had a worker being completely rude to everyone who walked in and to make it 100% better Ive been waiting almost 2 weeks for a book after being told it would arrive in a week. Im already paying double what other places offer so.... Yeah... This place sucks. Worst campus bookstore ever......

Horrible place to buy your book. I ordered all my books online and they shipped all but one to the store shipped to the store. I went the whole semester without it because I forgot I even ordered it. They didnt tell me if it ever came in or not. When I turned the books in they charged me for a lost book fee even though I told them I never received the book.

I called the bookstore today and spoke with Ms. Linda about my son not returning his rental books. She was extremely helpful, courtesy and was willing to work with me. I am so pleased with her customer service. Thank you Ms. Linda and Ms. Sherry. The books will be there next week.

Charged me and sent me a hard copy of the same book i bought as an e-textbook. then proceeded to refuse a refund becasue i was past the first week deadline by 3 days. You lost a customer here off to Amazon i will be going.
