When in Charlotte with a little time on my hands, this is one of my favourite stops to browse the wine selection, taste and discuss new wines with the friendly staff. In my many travels around the US and abroad, I have seen few comparable stores (or tasting room as they call it here) that equally have a comprehensive selection of imported wines with good pricing, a relaxing atmosphere more reminiscent of an upscale retail store than your usual wine shop, and knowledgeable staff seemingly just at ease with all passerbys. I was also impressed with the useful product descriptive given and excellent food & wine pairing suggestions, some of which I have tried to my great satisfaction. I have recommended the store to both Charlotte and out of town friends, who have come away convinced….

Impressive selection for a local wine shop. The owner, Jeff, and his knowledgeable staff really know how to make you feel welcome, whether youre from the neighborhood or are visiting Charlotte. They run generous tastings each Friday evening themed by regions, varietals, and wineries (usually for $10). Check out the website for a tastings schedule. A fun environment to discover and enjoy wine!

Strong collection of wines from limited-production vintners in key regions in Europe as well as South Africa, most of which are not commonly available elsewhere. Fair prices. Flawless shipment to all parts of the US is especially appreciated in regions like ours (northern New England), where the selection is otherwise rather limited.

I have been purchasing wines from Bond Street for almost two years from my home in San Francisco. I truly enjoy the Jean Michel Gerin Rhone wines. They have an excellent selection at great prices. Service has been top notch and the wines arrive within a few days to my home. Will continue to be a Bond Street customer.
