So I went in to get my shears sharpened, and after waiting a few minutes somebody finally helped me and started asking my name, address, phone. I said I prefer not to give that info, I just want my shears sharpened. They kept arguing with me saying they need it for their paperwork. Well, Im sorry about your paperwork but I dont need a warranty or anything, I just wanted to have the service performed and go. Finally, they gave up and got it done but not until they tried to make me feel bad. SORRY, MY PERSONAL INFO IS MINE, ACE HARDWARE INC. IS NOT ENTITLED TO IT. Lowes doesnt harass me if I dont give my number and address, Ill probably just go there from now on.

Very service oriented organization culture--including but not limited to welcoming companion dogs, remembering customer named, floor reps know how-tos as well as product strengths and weaknesses: always taking initiative to assisr customer with customer needs-- well trained, well managed, Prices competitive. No longer longer live in S Asheville but travel gladly to get hardware snd dyi fixit knowhow from them--always cheerful and knowledgeable. A+!

Small store but 99.9% of the time, they will have what you need and the price will be better than the big box stores. But, what really sets them apart is the employees. I have never experienced a staff as knowledgeable and helpful. If you need advice on practically anything, someone there is an expert and will take the time to share information with you and walk you around the store to show you what you need.

The customer service here is top notch! Really makes a difference when you walk into the store and everyone greats you and is motivated to help you. They give great advice and Id much rather stop by ACE then a larger home improvement store and spend half the time asking for help and not getting it.

Every time Ive shopped in here, Ive had a great experience. The folks are very friendly and very helpful. Everyone has a smile on their face. The last time I went in there, John, on the sales floor, spent a good 15-20 minutes helping me find the right screws for my project and I only needed three.

This Ace has a nice and friendly staff. You can always find someone to help you (unlike the big box stores) and they welcome you at the door. Knowledgeable and efficient. They have hard to find items and an impressive hardware (screw, nuts, bolts) aisle. I would recommend them to anyone.

I shopped here one time only. I honestly dont get it. The prices are higher than home depot or lowes and they may have one or two of the items you need but the rest you will end up buying at the big box stores anyway.
