Sad to see a "local" hardware store decline. This has been my go-to store for years. Even when prices might be slightly higher (and at times were lower) than big box stores, the convenience and customer-centric service were worth shopping there. First, theyve changed their local delivery parameters to include a $100 minimum purchase. In the past, the convenience of the delivery service offset the slightly higher prices; encouraging me to purchase there over other stores. But beware of their latest gimmick. Yes, they refill propane gas cylinders for your grill at a competitive price. But, every time you go in now, they insist your cylinder is out of date and you must exchange it for a much higher price. Then exchange it for one that is also out of date. Arriving for a refill today, I was told for the third "refill" in a row that my cylinder was "out of date"; insisting I purchase an exchange tank. Mind you, it was a cylinder theyd sold me last time. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice... I insisted they refund my money for the refill and had the cylinder refilled elsewhere. When I complained about the new policy and scam, the manager instantly tried to blame it on their supplier. Wonder how long this location will hold out against the big box retailers now that they no longer offer competitive or customer-centric services.

Been coming to this hardware store (ACE & previous franchises) for 30+ years. For a ACE Hardware, this store in Dunedin is HUGE!!! Before my time, this building must have either been something other than a neighborhood Hardware store or had multiple stores at this location. What is really special at this location is the nuts-n-bolts hardware inventory. I prefer this store over the local Big Box home improvement stores when I need to find a few such screw-bolts-nuts etc.. It is usually easy to do a self-service or when necessary there is almost always a associate available to help for find that real "odd-ball". The selection of gizmos is unbelievable. Another feature that separates this store from the Big-Box guys is their ability to sharpen just about any tool in your house that is used for cutting.

This is the most ginormous Ace Hardware, or any independent hardware store I have ever seen! AND it has a Post Office in the middle! I would HATE to inventory in this store, it is stocked to the rafters with everything imaginable. There is a large gift shop area too. Overall, I have to say that my three stars have to do with how extremely overpriced many items are! Yes, Walmart has taken over with their big box prices, and I understand that it drives up prices for stores like this, especially ones so bloated with products, but I could not find anything that I would purchase that I could not find elsewhere for less. But, it is a lovely place to stroll through!

This is where I go when I cant find something elsewhere , or when I want to save time looking elsewhere . All the hard to find items like the single nuts , bolts , washers , fine thread bolts , odd size items , etc . It is more costly for sure most of the time . Guess thats why they send you a $10.00 gift card from time to time . However , my time is worth something and I save time going to the store that I know will have it .

Every time I go here, I wonder why I did. I guess the desire to support a local hardware store keeps bringing me back... but I have to stop. Their garden center is just a sad joke - it could be cleaned up, and they could actually label their products with prices, but it seems like too big of an effort. Maybe they are embarrassed to display their pricing, seeing how the stuff that is labeled is twice as much as the box stores.

I would give my experience less than the one star because of the awful service I received. Even a manager said that the customer is NOT always right. Whether you agree with this statement or not while working in retail you are still supposed to live by it. Otherwise find a job that isnt retail! And surely dont become a manager!

I love Ace. They support the community. Friendly staff. Prices can be a little higher on many items than Depot and Lowes but you never have to wander around looking for staff. They even have a post office inside. Great gift shop as well.

2 days ago we went to Ace on Dunedin Fl. Brian Liebold was taking care off. He is the best salesperson we have seen in the past 2 years. Although you have the best staff, Liebold realy put his hear and soul in help us. NICE1

Aces prices are often higher than Lowes or Home Depot but their employees are always friendly and very helpful. Its often worth the extra cents to be treated pleasantly and find exactly what you are looking for!

insane. They have every single thing you would need for your house from the coffee pot to the landscape. They also have a post office inside of the store. It is gigantic.

Cris in the paint department is the master of color matching. Also has a great eye for suggesting coordinating colors to go with bedding, etc. Very talented guy.
