So far Ive gotten 3 tattoos from Authentic Arts. My 1st ever tattoo was done by the owner Tommy about 2 years ago, a large black deathbat on my chest. It turned out fantastic, exactly what I wanted! My 2nd visit I got a blue jay feather on my right forearm about a year and a half ago, it turned out okay but could have been better, I dont remember the artists name but I do know he no longer works there. My 3rd tattoo was a red feather on my left forearm about 8 months ago, it was done by Sebastian. WOW, thats all I have to say. It turned out amazingly well! The mans a fantastic artist, I brought in a reference photo on my phone and he did the tattoo based right off of that, no stencil. I was VERY impressed with the work! The shop itself has been clean every time Ive gone in, the owner and staff are friendly and they take a lot of pride in their work and their shop. The decor is really nice too. Top notch shop! I will definitely be going back to them for more! Highly recommended, but I do wish they would update their website to show their more recent work, their facebook page is way more useful than the official website.

Apparently Thomas is ether very sensitive or strung out, I entered the shop with a picture I found online of a koi fish. Thomas agreed it was a nice fish and explained that it has been done by an artist at Tattoo Lous. I said " Oh, well maybe I should go see him then." I just assumed that he was trying to hook me up with the artist whos style I liked. Apparently not. Thomas became very angry and said " Yeah why dont up do that !!" In a very loud voice and stomped away like a baby. It took me a second to figure out what was going on. I said "whoa, whats up?" He turned and basically yelled that " I was insulting" i said " hey I wasnt trying to be insulting Im sorry" And he said " Yeah, well you were, why dont you get in your car and leave!!" I did as requested and will never return. I will also continue to tell people about his UN-professionalism and rude behavior. Grow up ya little baby, or get off the drugs...

Tommy did an amazing job turning my ideas and vision into reality, art that I enjoy seeing on my body. It started with a C-section scar; I hated the way it and the way the skin around it looked. The scar will always be there, but now all I see is a beautiful design with flowers and scroll work. I loved the way it came out and how it made me feel so much I decided to have him design a tattoo for my leg. They both perfectly represent exactly what I wanted, the images are clear and all flow together. The lines are perfect and the detail is incredible, even the smallest parts of the bird’s face and feathers are distinct and well defined. If you have an idea for a tattoo and want to work with an artist to turn that into reality, I highly recommend visiting Tommy!

As long as I could remember I wanted a tattoo. When the day came that I was to get a tattoo I went to see Tommy over at Authentic Arts and received an unparalleled level of service and skill. From the consultation process through the actual tattooing process I felt extremely comfortable and well taken care of. A bit of time has now passed and I continue think fondly of the experience and look forward to returning for additional work to be done at Authentic Arts. Oh, and one more thing... the level of artistry that goes into each tattoo is astonishing. My tattoo and every other that I have seen come out of the Authentic Arts shop is incredibly crisp and well done.

I absolutely LOVE the tattoo I got at Authentic Arts Tattoo Gallery! It came out great with crisp edges and healed really quickly. The shop is clean and comfortable with an inviting social atmosphere. The staff is professional and among the most talented artists on Long Island. Tommy helped me fine tune my idea and sketched the tattoo out for me. He was able to translate what was in my head onto paper and then into a beautiful work of art on my skin. This was my third tattoo and by far the best experience. I cannot wait to return for my next piece!

So it was my first tattoo. Annabelle is the artist. She worked with me for a long time on the actual design. She made sure I absolutely loved everything about it and where I wanted it. It hurt a lot and for my first tattoo, I probably squirmed around a bit. But she did a perfect job anyways. It was kinda big, so she did the outline in one session and then the shading in another. And the shading just blew me away. Better then I could have expected. Ill be setting up another appointment this fall for number 2!

If you are looking for a great, clean, fun shop full of talented artists.... this is the only place to go!! Tommy is so respectful, and caring about his work and how you feel about it. I have recommended so many people to go here, and I would never go any where else. His staff are all so professional, and nice. This tattoo shop is the go to place. I went to get a tattoo from Tommy and it was an experience Ill regret for the rest of my life. He seriously messed it up. Its bad enough he talks too much during the job, but he also rushes big time. Hes very unapproachable and has a crappy attitude (hes clearly emotionally unstable and throws fits no matter how nice you are). He couldnt care less about the grief hes caused me. Trust me, there are better artists in the area.

Tommy is the man! I have gone to him for a sleeve, full chest piece, and will continue to go to him! He is incredibly creative and awesome to work with. Everyone in that shop is awesome. Plus you dont feel un wanted when you walk in or as if they are better than you. It is a very welcoming shop and they really know how to make you feel at home

Got a tattoo here from Sebastian. Could not be any happier with my tattoo and the experience. Everyone in the shop is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I wanted a tattoo and went in Authentic Arts off of a friends referral. What a mistake. The guy in charge Tom was really unfriendly and made me uncomfortable. I was already nervous getting my first tattoo, so his rugged attitude didnt help. I went elsewhere instead and am happy.
