On April 25,2017 I went to Tanger outlet in revierhead LIE, NY. I went inside to the customer service in tanger 2 since they had the big food court is in tanger 2, nobody is inside customer service in tanger 2. Then I went to tanger 1 customer service. There was a large Poster of Chinese UnionPay for ICBC (I go Global). Poster mention up to 21% in cash rebate, up to 20% merchant discounts. VIP stuff. I ask the person inside, there were 2 people in customer service, nobody can tell me what it is. They dont k ow how this works. And the first person who look at the poster said the poster are in CHINESE. I told her that there are ENGLISH next to it. And the poster is right outside of your customer service door. It is BIG poster. You dont k ow how it works? Then they told me that we can get a free coupon book with UnionPay card. Both of the customer service dont know nothing of the POSTER talking about. I am very disappointed because the date on the poster mention July 15, 2016 to July 14, 2017. The advertisements had been there for almost a year. Nobody in customer can tell me the detail of it. And one person said they are in Chinese ONLY. I am very disappointed. I feel like Tanger outlets are lack of communications. Otherwise they should know what is going on in Tanger promotions. Chinese has a very large buying power. Tanger has incredible bargains! Its a destination for both me and a lot of our houseguests. My favorite store is Ann Taylor because they have a large petite section. I would buy more clothes at Tanger if more stores carried petite sizes, especially the stores selling exercise apparel. While I also shop at The Loft (because they have a small petite section), the last few times I shopped there, the wait for the cashier was significantly longer than the other stores I purchased items in. For example, yesterday I purchased items in 5 stores and waited in line 10 minutes in The Loft and less than 1 minute in the other stores. Better restaurant choices would be more appealing. A real sit-down restaurant (as opposed to the fast-food restaurants) and/or a restaurant offering healthier food would be nice - such as the Olive Garden, Panera, Chilis, etc As a Tanger club member, I would prefer if there was a year-round staffed office at Tanger II where a free coupon booklet could be obtained so that I am not forced to go first to Tanger I to obtain the coupon booklet. The recent (in 2015?) Tanger II exterior renovation was nice; however, the parking lots (especially Tanger II) are very tight and dangerous because traffic is routed past the sidewalk in front of every single store; the parking lots would benefit from a re-design. Despite a few areas needing improvement, the bargains are incredible. A relative who lives in San Antonio finds the prices better at the Tanger outlets in Riverhead than at the Tanger outlets near her in Texas.

We recently went out to the Tanger outlets in riverhead ny. We were very pleased with the amount of stores that were there, but not the customer service in them. We went during their Labor Day sale and there was a lot of confusion trying to enter their parking lots. When we finally began shopping we encountered a lot of issues using the coupon book that was purchased. Many stores told us that the coupons would not be allowed (lane bryant, Hanes, etc.) as they had "special promos." Some stores took the coupons on top of their discounted prices(van heusen, Nine West, rockport, michael kors, etc). Needless to say we spent more in those stores. We were also disappointed in the rewards program. We reached 2 of the milestones this year at the $500 level and $1000 level for their reward program. The next level, which makes no sense at all, is at $2500. The $2500 level gives you a $25 gift card (1% of your total spending). In order to get into this club you have to pay $10 to get this card. If possible, maybe you should consider having levels for every $250 or $500. It cost me over $25 to drive out there in gas so the reward really is not that intriguing. In all Tanger is a great shopping mall...just wish its renters really cared about their customers.

Great deals especially when you can utilize coupons in your favor. Always visit mall office and pick up a coupon book. Tanger Club is a great value and is 100% worth the money. One time fee of $10 and your lifetime membership get you the $5 coupon book free ever visit for free plus additional promotions and coupons in the mail or online. Also take advantage of in-store email promotions that you have to sign up for. Parking is usually not a problem but can sometimes get heavy on weekends and holidays, look to park in the back for additional parking. The only downfall is places to eat in the center, there is a food court in each center but both are mediocre at best, they are limited in options, over priced, and will get you order wrong 35% to 40% of the time. There are great options 5 minutes or less outside the center, Applebees, TGI Fridays, Chipolte, Wendys, Taco Bell, 7 Eleven, Dunkin Dounuts, Starbucks, County Rotisserie, pizza, and delis to say a few. Take the ride, you will thank me later.

We live about 30 miles from Tanger Outlets in Riverhead. We love going out there as often as we can because the bargains we find out there are well worth the trip. The selections and variety are amazing. Every store we go into has excellent sales help who are friendly, helpful and delightful to work with. They try very hard to make sure that your shopping experience is a great one and that you leave their store with whatever you were looking for plus that something extra to make you glad you came. The office staff is also quite friendly and helpful. They do not rush you away from the desk even if there is a big line. We always make sure to have lunch in Tanger II when we go out there at the ChickeNow. They have the best chicken, great prices and the food is always served hot and fresh. If you have never been to Tanger, riverhead you are missing something in a shopping experience.

Im taking 2 stars off for 3 reasons. 1. Their selection of clothes is not that great. They often have edgy or flat out ugly clothes. Every store gives me the vibe that its full of all the things they couldnt sell in their other stores. Some stores like the shoe store, H&M, or Victoria Secrets are always safe though. As goes for the furniture stores. 2. Riverhead is annoying to get in and out of, and the outlets can become way too overcrowded in the summers or the Holidays. Last winter there was line outside Ugg that went on for what seemed like miles. 3. I HATE the parking. The parking lot is very poorly designed and there are stores all over the place. Its split into two sections, but unless you already know which stores are on which side, have fun looping around for 20 minutes looking for a store that you passed when you first pulled in.

I have been a customer of the Riverhead Tanger for years and I have always found great deals. My only complaint is the coupon offerings (The mailings, not the booklet from shopper services). Less and less merchants accept the coupons over recent years. Van Huesen come specifically to mind. They always took the 20% of your complete purchase and now they dont. Of course, I found that out the hard way after shopping and choosing an armload of items. More needs to be done to encourage participation. Also worth mentioning is the Deer Park Tanger. It is a very much more pleasant shopping experience with convenient parking and an pleasant layout. I wish Riverhead would follow its lead in these matters. Also, Deer Park has many more events than Riverhead. It would be nice if some more concerts or tent sales would come out east.
