I would like to tell my customers a little bit about our family business. I was 29 years old when my father, a World War II Purple Heart recipient passed away. It was 1978 and this unfortunate happening, led us to realize that there were no florists servicing the recently opened Calverton National Cemetery. This led my husband, myself, my brother and his wife to establishing National Floral Design. We were open 365 days then, as we still are today. It wasnt easy raising our families and developing our business. However, we never felt that it was an imposition, we were there for the families of our Fallen Veterans, and nothing could be more rewarding. Thirty seven years later, we are seriously contemplating retiring and my children will continue this important service. My brother retired some 15 years ago, and has since passed on. He is greatly missed, and fondly remembered by family and loyal customers. We deliver to the Cemetery everyday of the year, and delivery is always free. Many florists have opened in Ridge since 1978, but its nice to know we were the first, for the first 8 years, somedays only seeing one customer. We take pride in the way our staff shows compassion to our customers and the excellence of there work. Our devotion has always been heartfelt, and most of my staff has been with us for many, many years. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.

I am not happy, I ordered flowers for my parents gravesite at Calveton National Cemetery last. I live in Maryland so I asked for a photo of the flowers when they were placed on the grave. It cost an extra $10, which is ridiculous but was willing to pay for it ... I never received a photo. I will not do business with a place that takes my money and gives me nothing back for it. Mothers Day is coming up ... I will look for another florest. So, I gave them another chance ordered again for Mothers Day. Sent them an email as to my disappointment. This is the email I got back. "Dear Ms Zeitlin, I just checked our orders from yesterday and we did receive your order for a $19.99 Bouquet. I resent a confirmation through our website tonight. I hope you do receive it. We will be emailing the photo a day or two after we place the bouquet on 5/13/17. Thank you for your business. Sincerely, E. Ruth National Floral Design It is now May 16th ... still no photo. Im done, If I could give no star I would.

National Floral Design is a really quaint and sweet place to stop and get beautiful floral arrangements and other items to help you celebrate and remember a loved one that has passed. They also have an online service where you can pick out whatever arrangements you need....pay for them...and they will have someone bring it to the cemetery for you if you cannot make it there on holidays or any day. They then take a picture and send it to your email so you can see the arrangements. I have lost quite a few of my family members and I dealt with other floral design places and none of them were as sentimental and dedicated to their customers. They go out of their way to take time to make your experience easy and comforting especially during some of the hardest times in your life. They are a truly exceptional company with extraordinary and considerate employees. Very happy with National Floral Design!
