Not a bad place, but youre really paying for the atmosphere. As far as the burgers go, theyre pretty decent, what I would expect from this place. Service itself is really good, the staff is friendly, and the look of the place is high end and stylish. Atmosphere on a nice weekend is great, usually packed with bikers, motorcycles, classic cars, and the rest of us mortals. On that note, parking is a big problem here when its busy. Many are forced to park on the shoulder of Rt9W and walk down the white line between parked cars and busy traffic. If its a nice weekend with people out and nice cars to look at, sure, Ill kill a buck here. Do I recommend this food establishment to newcomers? Yes. Do I tell them its expensive? Always. P.S.: The straws for milkshakes are small gauge and thin/flimsy, making it hard to allow any sort of chocolate chips or pecans to get sucked up, and the straw collapses from the suction/passing through the plastic lid. Also Ive heard of some manipulation of the reviews, a friend of mine was asked to take down a bad review by a staff member after he was treated extra nicely. I whole heartedly encourage improvements in service, but your costumers should feel inclined to leave a good review or edit a bad one once they feel a change for the good. NOT because they were asked to.

Want to dazzle your date? Want to just chill? Want to just make new memories? The Market has got you covered. This little place popped out of nowhere a few years back. When Pops and I discovered this place we were WOWd like you cannot believe. The food is great! The service Superb! And the experience is awesome! Highly recommend this place for any occasion. This is often my go to place when I want to show someone something authentic of New Jersey and New Jersey culture. All I can say is just~ Whos ready to eat!

Its a high traffic tourist area, so they get tourists coming and going. Big turn-off: on their chalkboard they indicate the price of the cheaper sandwich that is on the top of the list and fail to indicate the prices on others that are lower on the list, misleading you into believing that all of them are the same price. And, it is not the case, but you find that out only when youre already paying and only if you ask them why the bill is so high. Oh, btw, $14-15 for a medium-size salmon sandwich-that is much.

Great place to grab a quick lunch or dinner while not sacrificing quality. The options are seasonal and use local ingredients, ranging from salads, to sandwiches, to pastas and sides. Highlights include quinoa with roasted butternut squash and cranberries, potato cakes, asian chicken meatballs, and more. Desserts are equally as good as the sides and entrees. In the summer, there is a great outdoor seating area with Adirondack chairs.

One of the only places for lunch along the 9W, The Market does variety and does it well. Stop in for a quick coffee, dessert, rare sushi grade tuna, or one of a few house made pizzas, all served by a consistently friendly staff. Nothing disappoints at this cozy cafe. Also, conveniently placed right next to a hiking trail entrance!

The Filling Station outside is awesome. Love their burgers, no gimmicks, just good meat on a bun. The outdoor seating is great for summertime hangout. The Market is for fancy hipster surbanites who dont eat burgers I think... I still havent found a thing on their menu that entices me to visit in the wintertime. Coffee is decent.

We were passing by this little garden while driving back home (MA), we stopped to buy some snacks and found this place to be so fantastic!! It has a small garden with chairs and table to sit outside and have your cake and tea. Will definitely stop again when we come back to NYC/NJ! The food/cake quality was also wonderful

Beautifully done inside and out -- interior is reclaimed wood from nearby historic homes, outside is nicely landscapes with flowers and umbrellas. Great music and friendly service. Food is terrific - quality ingredients and baked goods are top notch. Expect LOTS of cyclists on the weekend because we love this spot !!!

Imagine youre obviously next in line, you walk up say hi, start saying your order, the server looks at you then looks behind you and takes the order of the guys behind you. I dont even know what to call that. Like what? Yeah Ill take my money somewhere else if wait staff do this. I wont take that chance again.

Everything there is so expensive and there ice cream $3 for a small tiny scoop? Seriously lower your prices or people wont come and get hamburgers and soda you will get more buisness that way instead of your discusting heathy food that is terrible nice atmosphere but thats it your food is ok but way to expensive

The 9W Market, or "the market" as we call it, is a great roadside cafe and coffee shop on route 9W. They have coffee and pastries, but also really good prepared foods. Additionally, there is a burger stand attached to it which I have never tried, but seems to be very popular.

Manhattan prices for bland food that they warm in a microwave. They dont hide it either. Not sure how a chicken parm with a side of veggies two drinks and a soup can be $30 when the chicken food was warned in a microwave. Yuppie prices for deli food.

I can only speak to breakfast options here, but they are wonderful. The egg sandwiches are far above the norm and the pastries, muffins and scones are delightful. The fifth star is withheld only because their coffee leaves something to be desired.

This indoor-outdoor cafe serves meals to either have on the premises or take home. Ive tried much of the menu from the salads to the entrees and am always satisfied. The staff is always helpful and quite knowledgeable about the menu items.

I love this place! We do outdoors type of stuff in the area all the time, and theres no better place to grab a quick bite to eat, a snack and a coffee, etc, afterwards. The people are so nice there, and just an all around good time.

What a hidden gem along route 9. From coffee, gourmet dessert, to breakfast, and ordering specialty meats in quantity, I cant think of a better place. The atmosphere is out of this world and truly unique.

Great stop off if youre out riding on the 9w. Plenty of bike parking. Friendly staff, good coffee, and tasty baked goods. Lots of out door seating makes this place very busy on beautiful weekends.

This place is really great. Its a converted gasoline station from the way back. The food is delicious and fresh the prices are in line with the area. If youre a bike rider it is the place to stop.

Excellent burgers and fries with follow up of milkshakes. Cozy atmosphere with optimal outside seating when weather is great. Great if youre biking, hiking our just driving by.
