Unfortunately I wasnt able to stop in, however I did stay at a camp that had a very nice bear sticker on their bear box that I wanted. I called the store and the very nice lady who answered the phone would not allow me to pay for them and insisted on sending me 2 stickers in the mail. Looking forward to may next trip to Raquette Lake so I can stop in.

Had not visited in a few years, so took a drive up to old forge. As customary, visited the old forge hardware. Was a little taken back at the ridiculous high prices. Heard several other customers comment on the high prices. Other than the prices, the merchandise is pretty much the same as a few years ago. Not much new.

I went for the first time last year and I was hoping for a little more old-fashioned charm, but the selection is amazing and you can get just about anything you need here. Prices seem high, but I think thats true of all the stores in this area.

Toys, books, crafts, snacks, furniture, household items, clothing, camping gear, and hardware, of course. Something for everyone. Buy or just have fun browsing, but you probably wont leave empty handed.

The prices have gone up, but its still worth a trip. Many unique items from quail eggs to a giant lighthouse. Its hard to make it out without finding something. Great to see a store like this survive.

Nice store, but watch prices. As I am about to be a new grandmother I bought Dr.Bronners baby soap 5oz. bar for $11.49. Checked Dr.bonner web site when I got hom...$3.99. OUCH!!!
