Horrible experience at this place thanks to the "manager". Rude, dismissive and condescending. Rented 2 SUPs for 2 days. $250. Brought one back after 2 hours with damages caused by my son. An accident and I was very sorry and of course, willing to pay to have it repaired. The "manager" threatened to make me pay for the depreciation caused by the damages ($700+). This is a well used rental board which he kept referring to as "practically new". Plus would not let me exchange or refund my 2.5 day rental. The repair guy Will was awesome. Came out and said $65 which I am very happy to pay for! I just dont understand why they are keeping my $125 with no exchange. Worst customer service policy. Worst treatment. This was supposed to be fun! Well, they have my $125 in exchange for an undying hatred of this business which I will pass onto my friends and family.

I bought two used kayaks from them. The service was excellent. I called they texted me pictures of the kayaks I was buying. I paid over the phone and they shipped them the same day. I live in Michigan and we had the kayaks within 5 days (which included a weekend). The staff was friendly, professional and very helpful. I was a little nervous buying the kayaks site unseen, but it was such an awesome deal I couldnt pass it up. Their shipping was also very reasonable, cheaper than any box store I priced kayaks at. Would definately do business with them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a good kayak price.

Amazing outdoor equipment and kayak shops. By far the best Ive ever seen in New York, with a decent selection of stuff and somewhat reasonable prices. No brick and mortar store can beat Amazon, obviously, but you also cant try stuff on, and you certainly cant test paddle every single boat youll find on Austin Kayaks website before you place your order. Staff is friendly and knowledgable, very good local information on paddling trips and even black fly conditions when you randomly call before heading up for the weekend. :D Ive never rented gear from them, but they offer that as well.

The service was excellent and the price was better then any other dealer, even when the kayak my fiancé was looking for they had a truck meet us in our way home to have us pick up the kayaks. Could not have been happier with purchase and would recommended this dealer to anyone. You will not be disappointed

Just bought a canoe and all the accessories this past weekend. The service was great and the people are super friendly and they made the whole family feel comfortable. We got a great price and we are all super happy. We took the canoe out on a remote lake on labor day just the day after we bought it and had the best day we have had all summer! Highly recommend Mountain man!

Great place to start your kayak experience ! We dropped off one car off and drove the kayaks upstream and paddled back downstream to mountainman for a nice 3hr paddle ! ! ! They have bathrooms and a well stocked equipment store that sells and rents out what ever you might need ! ! !

Great prices for rentals. You can launch the kayak right behind the store, the waters nice and calm. Great place to take small children out. The customer service was awesome, overall we had a great experience. We will definitely come back.

They have gear, kayaks, and canoes for sale or to rent. Many excursion offerings from novice to expert. You can choose the trip that is right for your skill level. Plus bathrooms to use before you head out on the water.
