Customer service is severely lacking. This location is hands down the worst store I have ever shopped in. Unfortunately, sometimes convenience comes before quality and customer service sometimes and this is when I find myself giving it another chance. Over and over again I am disappointed. I have been in there multiple times when it appears that management is standing around in a group doing what appears to be nothing. Not once has an employee or even said management asked me if I needed help or even greeted me at all with the exception of the door greeter. The cashiers are rude, lazy, and act as if my patronage is an inconvenience. Not just one or two, literally all but one. I cant even get a hello out of them, but if a pal from another department comes up I get to play third wheel to their weekend shenanigans and other stories which are better suited for breaks. Honestly its completely inappropriate and frustrating. Heres a tip: cashiers are the last faces we shoppers see before we leave, you can change an awful experience in the few minutes that it takes to ring our purchases up just by being polite. It would be easy to blame the individuals, but it is so very clear that they are all lacking in good leadership and have become complacent. Its actually very sad. The surrounding area of this location is really quite nice and people are willing to take their business elsewhere because no one seems to care. I will continue to occasionally stop in with hopes that someone actually reads this and takes a hint that changes desperately need to be made and maybe just maybe it will change mine and so many others minds.

Your typical, overcrowded, understaffed Wal-Mart Supercenter. I try to go there less than once a month. On the medium side, general good selection of product and stock. Produce varies from acceptable to very fresh. Expanded line of organic, natural, non GMO gluten free and generally healthful options can be found here. The store, for the amount of foot traffic is clean. There is a McDonalds restaurant, a reliable optical center, a drug store and a beauty salon, which to me, seem to have unusual hours. Staffing is an issue, it took me an hour this past early December to get my merchandise from a Web to store free pick up. Lines are onerously long & slow. There are plenty of self checkout terminals & are quite often busy with lines as well. Weekends are like many Wal-Marts --> a zoo and parking gets tight. Access in and out is good and its right near NYS Thruway exit 17 and more or less the intersection of Rt. 300 & 17k. Many other stores & chain restaurants are nearby.

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever had. Everytime, and I mean everytime I go here no one knows where anything is or gives and effort to help find something for you. I went through the manager to find a cable I knew they had because the site said it was there and the employees wouldnt look in the back. Dora, the manager didnt even bother looking and said no we didnt. About 2 hours after shopping when stocking began guess what they put on the shelves... The cable I was looking for. The store in my opinion is fine. Being in the heart of Newburgh it seems its hard to find good help cause the customer service here is next to none and Ive been to a lot of Wal-Marts. I live in New Windsor and drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to the Harriman store now.

I absolutely HATE this Wal-Mart and the only reason I even go there is if I need diapers (cheaper here then grocery stores). The people are rude, there is hardly any staff when you need one and 1/2 the staff you do find dont speak English and the other half either ignore you or are not helpful. I think the only person who is helpful is the one door greeter Joe and I have known him for YEARS and he is friendly to everyone. The bathrooms are always dirty, never any paper towels or toilet paper. They leave their pallets and pallet jacks out on the floors and people trip on them constantly! My father was hit by an employee coming from the back with a pallet jack, knocking him to the ground and broke his cane. The management did absolutely nothing!

I had a horrible experience at the automotive center. If I could give them a negative star I would. 1 star is way to good. I requested an oil change and tire rotation. I shopped for almost 2 hours when they told me they refuse to change the oil because the car has an oil leak. Well what car doesnt leak oil? Just look at any parking space anywhere and there will be oil stains. Because I asked for the manager they did finally change the oil. When I paid, I saw they did not charge for the tire rotation. Not only did they refuse to do the tire rotation but they didnt even tell me until I noticed it on the bill. Bad, bad, bad service!

I went to this Wal-Mart to take advantage of there $30 oil change + amenities. I gave the clerk my keys, went in the store and waited an hour before going back to check on my car. They told me they couldnt change my oil because they couldnt get the hood open. I got my keys back and opened my hood TWICE in front him to prove that it worked. Despite this they refused to work on it because they initially had difficulty with it. And to make it worst, I waited an hour without them making even an effort to contact me. Dont go to this place with your car. They get paid hourly, instead of per job, so they DONT want your business.

Why do I feel like Im being tortured every time I enter this building?! It seems like the Newburgh Walmart has employees but Im not sure if any of these individuals are actually being paid to work. Those "working" are at the two registers open at the front of the store. But be prepared because they are only capable of scanning three items per every ten minutes!!! Filthy store. Rude people. This place is a sad joke. I dont know why I continue to put myself through this insufferable chaos. Do yourself a favor and drive over the bridge to Fishkill or any other possible Walmart in the area.

Overly loud, obnoxious staff - street thugs stocking shelves. Each week seems to get worse. Very rare I can find what I need on the shelves - if Im lucky enough to find what I want, Im forced to buy multiple quantities because God only knows when theyll actually have it in stock again. This store couldnt be more mismanaged - pathetic. If it wasnt so ridiculously close & convenient to where I live I wouldnt even consider going there. The only alternative is to either spend more money at a different store or drive a lot further than Im willing to.

Terrible terrible terrible customer service. I was forced to go and repented of my decision when I was in the checkout. The self check-out was closed. We had to get in line. After waiting ten minutes we were told the line was closed and to go to another line. The second line took very long. Thankfuĺly she didnt close down. But the cashier next to us closed down and told her line, "i have to close so I am taking everyone up until you sir but the lady after you has to go." Now the lady WAS the last one in line. Must I say anymore.
