Worst Purchase Experience of my ENTIRE LIFE! Went in to buy my first Mercedes. Did not know much about the brand except some mild research. ***WARNING*** Cars look beautiful under the lights at Manhattan Mercedes. My piano black C63 AMG looked flawless in the dealership. Several days later, in direct sunlight, i saw swirls from compounding. When they tried to fix it, they swirled the entire car now on two occasions, leaving me with almost no clear coat. I spent $1500 to have the paint corrected and coated by a true professional. If you check BBB you will see this paint issue is a regular occurrence here at Mercedes Manhattan, although they are efficient at having these complaints removed. They have a shell company that jams a bunch of low skill immigrants in the basement with high speed buffing machines. Its appalling, as my professional detailer and I saw first hand, they buff cars in the basement with improper technique and lighting while continuously using dirty/used pads on brand new high line luxury cars....BAD BAD BAD. I specifically asked, and was told that the car had a major performance component (limited slip differential), to the tune of "Of course it does, its an AMG right?" much to my dismay i learned shortly after purchasing the car that this component is optional...That mistake cost me $4,000. How an AMG comes without an LSD is anybodys guess...its flat out dangerous. Im also really disappointed in the build quality of this car. Ive also driven many loaner cars. They all rattle with bass and some whistle and/or whine at speed....not what i expected. My car has a symphony of undesired harmonics despite being CPO. So after much effort, i gave up with trying to have them do the right thing for me and went to my local Mercedes Dealership. That was a totally different experience. However, I just learned that the cars engine has an aftermarket tune installed in the car Even though i bought it at the dealership with a full CPO warranty. Seriously... Please do not patronize this establishment. I paid top dollar for bottom shelf. Great Business model...this is the type of review that comes from a profit first environment. I expected FAR better treatment from Manhattan Mercedes. Worst Purchase Experience of my ENTIRE LIFE!!!

I unfortunately have the *bad*luck* to live across the street from the stepped edifice that houses this old cart. They have been fined by the EPA numerous times for running their industrial air conditioning unit that freezes the substation-zebra like dealership at a speed that creates a noise. The EPA investigated and found them absolutely in violation of noise pollution laws. This humming noise disrupts my life, my health, my sleep and well being ; After the fines they pay lip service and abide by the law for about two months then return to violating the law with full jet engines. This noise *IS* ongoing harming me (and my neighbors) and forcing me to waste my time monitoring them like bad, spoiled children. Making noise complaints and bogging me the little guy down with complaining about it while they just ignore the fines. IN ADDITION: The "staff" and personal are racist, homophobic (big time) and anti semetic. They have harassed me on the street repeatedly and incited other attacks including violent ones. I was beat up, and though I cant directly connect this incident to the Mercedes Benz dealership, I believe they are part of the racism that on my street cause me to be attacked violently. No one likes a victim so Im taking the lead and advising an indefinite ban on all Mercedes and Mercedes related products. ,I really cant see anyone buying a Mercedes Benz EVER anyway. I didnt really feel this way before, and its not in my nature to make generalizations about people, a company or any group, especially since I am by nature a kind, tolerant lover but Hitler is written all over that heap. And I really cant see that changing anytime soon. . My forgiveness has limits. Certain behaviors are indefensible. This casual racism and abuse is something I OPPOSE! Very bad karma.

AFTER BUYING 3 MERCEDES S63 FROM THIS DEALERSHIP ONE AFTER THE OTHER WHEN FIRST WAS A 09 2ND WAS A BRAND NEW 2010 AND 3RD WAS A BRAND NEW 2012 THAT I CUSTOM ORDERED WITH MR RICH HESS AT THAT TIME GENERAL MANAGER OF MB MANHATTAN,PAID $198,000K OUT THE DOOR I CAME TO THE PRE-OWNED DEPARTMENT AND ASKED TO PRE TRADE MY 2012 CAR ON A 2014 MODEL. THINKING I AM A GOOD CUSTOMER HOPING TO GET THE BEST DEAL ANYBODY CAN GIVE ME, THIS LOSER OF A MANAGER BY THE NAME OF PATRIC THAT IS PROBABLY JEALOUS AND HAS NO IDEA HOW YOU REALLY MAKE MONEY OUT THERE IN THE REAL WORLD OFFERS ME 100K FOR MY BEAUTIFUL ONE OF A KIND CAR WHERE ALL OTHER DEALERS OFFER ME THE MINUTE THEY SEE MY CAR 120K-125K. I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR SURE, EVEN IF THIS DEALERSHIP WILL GIVE ME THE CAR FOR FREE. TO MR. PATRICS MANAGER I JUST WANT TO SAY I AM SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY CUSTOMER YOU LOST BECAUSE OF THE UN MATURE BEHAVIOR OF MR PATRIC. AND TO MR. PATRIC HEAD OF PRE-OWNED DEPARTMENT GO GET A LIFE. I WILL GO TO SOVEREIGN MERCEDES BENZ IN BROOKLYN THEY HAVE 55 EXCELLENT REVIEWS THAT SOUNDS LIKE AN ACHIEVEMENT. AND DON MY #1 SALESMAN THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DID FOR ME, I KNOW IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT. UPDATE 3/26/13 TRADED MY CAR WITH RAY CATENA GOT $118,000 AND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH A SMOOTH TRANSACTION.GOT A 2012 PORSCHE 911 TURBO S UNTIL MY 2014 S63 WILL COME.BEFORE YOU DO ANY BUSINESS WITH ANYONE CHECK RAY CATENA FIRST I SHOULD HAVE DONE IT 3 YEARS AGO.LETS SEE NOW HOW ITS GOING TO BEE WITH GETTING MY WARRANTY MONEY BACK. Mercedes Benz should be ashamed of this corporate store and needs to pay better attention to the management team that they have working there. I thought that it would be great to purchase a Mercedes Benz from a FACTORY OWNED STORE, but found out that they are dishonest and even damaged my S63 while it was in the Service Department. The Service Director will not even return phone calls, and my vehicle was there for over 5 weeks in 3 months before I just picked it up with more problems than when it went in. They dont even know how to mount a tire, with their technician mounting the tire INSIDE OUT which is a safety hazard, and they gave me back the car? It clearly says on the sidewall of the tire "OUTSIDE" ... this means it goes facing outside - a simple task that they could not perform. No wonder why they didnt win the Mercedes Benz Customer One award from what I was told - a FACTORY STORE that cannot win its own manufacturers award? I recommend going to another dealership and staying away from this store, as they do not honor what they promise, and do not follow the Mercedes Benz philosophy of Customer One. The only positive note was that our salesperson, Ron, and his manager Patrick were both great to work with. Its truly sad that the Sales Manager Patrick became responsible for repairing my car...isnt that what the Service Department and its manager are supposed to do? The Service Department would get ZERO STARS if I could rate them that way, after having my vehicle for over 5 weeks in the shop without repairing it properly.
