Imbert and his staff are continuously knowledgeable, fair, honest and genuinely caring. These guys are all-around happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have no matter how trivial. Im on my 3rd bike at this point after they opened the world of cycling to me. I purchased my first hybrid (Bianchi Cortina) from them and soon after acquired my first roadie (Felt F1 series) for very reasonable prices. Each time customizing the perfect bike for my size, lifestyle and budget. Despite me being quite a difficult customer the selection process was painless- they patiently provided detailed information and options. Never pushy or salesy. The bike fitting was comprehensive and any future tune-ups are on the house. Both turned out to be immense investments. As I was introduced to road cycling, they polished my biking skills by providing tips including positioning, using clips, training on a stationary machine.. and more... I have to personally thank Imbert, the owner, and his nephew, Jay for showing my nephew how to ride bike. They went out of their way in front of the shop for a few hours at a time until he faced the intimidating task of riding on two wheels. All of this was an incredible gesture of goodwill for which Im eternally grateful. The shop also has a solid variety of bikes and accessories for decent prices. Best prices Id say. Cheaper than Amazon. If they dont have it, they may accommodate you by ordering it. Imbert, Jay, Mike and all the other guys are the epitome of what private business needs to thrive and what a difference it makes as a customer when you feel like you are part of a whole team/ family. Master Bike Shop has earned their stellar track record for quality, professionalism and gregariousness, and my undying loyalty as a local year-round commuter cyclist. I highly recommend anyone considering biking to these guys and will continue to do so.

I just bought my first real bike (a Fuji hybrid) today from this store and I am extremely pleased. Imbert was knowledgable enough and when I told him my maximum price and what I was looking for, he found me a bike for $200 cheaper than I was planning to spend - and best of all it felt like a quality bike. I told Imbert that I didnt really know what I should be looking for as a first-time buyer and he just picked out a few bikes for me and told me to take them for a spin. He didnt try to force me into anything, didnt push any unnecessary accessories on me - in fact I ended up buying more accessories than he suggested. He told me to take my time thinking about my purchase and really made me feel at ease with no pressure. Best of all, all his service was with a big smile! In the end I came away with a pretty good bike with a handful of accessories at a great price that I never expected to get! I highly recommend Imberts store.

I went to Master Bike Shop on a trip with a few friends to window shop. I was in the market for a new road bike, but didnt know where to start. Luckily I came in and the staff eagerly showed me to a few bikes. When I picked the one I wanted, he said go ride it outside. I was stunned. Not only did he take the time to install the pedals, but he let me ride this bike for a while and get the feel for it. That right there, is excellent customer service. I fell in love with the bike and told myself that I would get it in a few weeks. When I came back to the shop, the guy who helped me soon remembered me and immediately found the bike that I was riding. After paying and everything, he then installed a water bottle holder for free! Didnt even ask for it, but it was such a kind gesture. You really dont get service like that anymore. Possibly one of the best Bike Shops Ive been to.

Super shop! I have been building a custom mountain bike, and foolishly cross threaded the bottom bracket, working too quickly. I have been wrenching on bikes since I was 7 years old, raced competitively for over 20 years, and built countless bikes. I honestly lost sleep that night. I took my frame into Master Bike the next morning and met with Imbert. He put my mind at ease right away. That afternoon the bike was fixed perfectly, and beyond reasonably priced for the repair. No attitude. No judgement. And no up-sell to get me to replace or buy more products I didnt need - all of which Ive experienced at some other local shops. Whether youre a beginner or advanced level cyclist, there is really no need to go anywhere else in the neighborhood. These guys are great and have earned a customer for life.

Imbert at Master Bike Shop is an experienced mechanic. After someone stole my shifter and snipped my cables, I needed a quick fix. I went to Renaissance and Eddys (both shops recommended each other), but both charged from $45 upwards to fix, not including labor. Each also told me that an 8-speed shifter wouldnt work on a 7-speed bike, and one even suggested stealing other parts of my bike to use for labor! At Master Bike, Imbert was wise enough to know a 8-speed shifter would work on a bike with only 7, plus quickly identified other parts that were stolen. In total, he fixed everything for $40, including labor. The cost was surprisingly much less than what was quoted at other shops, so tipped him extra.

I LOVE this shop. I have been patronizing Master Bike since it first opened five blocks north of where it is now, and it is hands down the best bike shop in the city, and possibly the planet. All the sales folks are knowledgeable, service-oriented, professional and always helpful. They have a great selection of bikes and merchandise; they also will very readily tell you if there is a better product out there which is not in their inventory but which they can order for you, and they do so. My three kids and I have bought numerous bikes and accessories from them over the years and we always walk out happy. Great mechanics for repairs and tune ups, too.

I dont know much about bikes, but these guys do! I dont pretend to know it all and ask a lot of questions, it would have been easy to rip me off but these guys were so cool, professional, and totally ego free. They answered all my questions, made some quick adjustments to my bike right when I walked in and were so courteous and helpful. So hard to find decent people who are experts in their craft but these guys earned my loyalty almost instantly. Put your money into a place that is actually worth it, this place will leave you with a finely tuned bike and satisfaction that there are still good folks in this world.

Ive been at the Master Bike Shop three times now and must say they provide excellent service. On my first visit, Mike dedicated 1.5 hrs to walk me through various bike models and help me identify the right solution for my needs. I was allowed to take the 3 bikes I had on my short-list for a spin around the block, which was immensely helpful. I came back to the shop twice to adjust little things here and there and Imbert (the owner) and his team were welcoming, supportive and very reasonable with their prices. I dont bike much, but with the Master Bike Shop I feel confident that any need of mine will be addressed.
