This review was about a customer experience I had with one of their disgruntled employee that this Chinese market employs. On Saturday February 21, my son and daughter were following me around while I was shopping for fruits. Like any 6 year old kids, my son was curious and asking me about the names of the fruit by touching it. I normally told him not to because the fruits are usually not washed. An employee immediately came over and instructed him not to touch. I walked away with my son without saying a word. Then my son went and touched the bananas and made a comment that the bananas were tiny and cute. The same employee again came over to my son instructed him not to touch. I was at a boiling point and responding back by asking him what harm would a child’s touch on the banana’s skin do to a banana? The employee started to argue with me and used all sort of foul languages. At that point I demanded him to speak to his supervisor or manager. I was surprised that the whole time he was cursing and yelling at me there was neither supervisor nor manger to be found. I guessed they were all too scared to intervene by tugged their tails between their legs! Really! You have an employee that was yelling and cursing at a customer and dares to come forward? I have been shopping in that supermarket for eight years. I will never return to that supermarket again, even I have to travel extra 20 miles to find another Chinese supermarket.

Yo this place sucks. The cashiers are extremely rude and clearly dont understand the importance of the check out process, which is a big factor in a customers decision to come back to this place or not. They throw your items in a bag before tossing it to you along with your receipt and change, and they are extremely impatient, getting easily upset if you dont understand what theyre saying. And they dont even operate on their business hours. The one star is for their items but other than that, its hard to see the gold in this place.

If it was possible, i would have given half a star. This place is awful: unsanitary conditions and disgraceful customer service. The employees are so rude and throw your merchandise into the bags without caution. Dead fish are floating around in the tanks and the fruit and vegetables do not seem fresh: they look like they were just taken out of the dirt and not even rinsed. Adding onto their disgraceful customer service, they do not smile nor make me feel comfortable enough to approach them with a question. Youve been warned.

Good thing about this store is you get your general groceries at reasonable prices but a bad thing is that most items are chinese and asian in origin and also due to availability of sea food and all... It smells. Other than that what can I say... Asians took over Associated and turned it to IOG . Before cursing at me for that comment let me just say I an asian myself.

Good variety of Asian groceries including fresh seafood at an affordable price. This place is always crowded and the narrow hallway packed with boxes of produce further slows down the foot traffic. Use a basket in lieu of the cart is recommended. Staffs are overworked and pressured to move customers along especially when the store is busy.

Its good for a quick run ..like fresh fish noodles, dumplings ,beer ... but they should not have closed associated which was a good quality store...most of the cashier are rude except for 2 which are freindly.. There isnt no variety of food only Chinese oriented food ..they need to close it down and reinvent it again

Good for quick run for meats, veggies, and fruits. Looks like a typical chinese market that you would see anywhere else. Dont expect great customer service, there probably isnt any. But the prices are affordable and its the only place that I can get produce thats within a 5 minute walk. Parking lot in the back.

I live right across the street. They sell rotten strawberrys, avacados, Flies all over, mice running around. Manager is always angry, doesnt care about customers. He thinks hes living in a country where they disrespect customers. Refused to exchange rotten strawberries. Am I in the US here?

This place is disgusting and anti-anyone who isnt asian. I questioned the price for paper towels and after several runarounds was told to shop elsewhere. Quote, "we dont need your money here". Good, so now I give it to Key Food.

Typical Chinese grocery store. Love the location because I can get Chinese groceries without going to Flushing. Prices are a bit higher than in Flushing but selection is okay. Fruits and grocery selections could be better.

Place is filthy. They put their veggies directly into filthy shopping carts before they bag them up. No one speaks English, and everyone is rude. Theres giant fish floating dead in the tanks. I hate this super market.

Crap customer service, good butcher department, fish mongers are hit or miss, overall not a bad place to shop but it is getting run down fast. I remember when they first opened, it was so clean.

Got a decent beer selection in the back. Unfortunately theyre unrefrigerated, but theyre 2-3 bucks cheaper for a six-pack than what youd expevt to pay at other neighborhood stores

Like the $1 bags of veggies. Otherwise can use more clean up on floors, etc. Also some samples would be nice.
