V&T is old, and has seen better days. The staff does not do a good job of keeping the restrooms and seafood department clean. In the olden days, before the H&Y Market opened in Hicksville, this was the go-to place for your Asian food needs. But for quite a while, its been painfully obvious that V&Ts glory days are long-since gone. If you need to shop here, check the sell-by dates on every product you touch. Ive found Korean chinaware and poricilan products kind of plain and boring. If youre sincerely interested in bold, colorful chinaware and kitchen gadgets, then V&T is the place for you. V&T does have plenty of Pocky and J-snack to satisfy even the most rabid of anime otaku. However, for a clean, modern store with top-notch seafood and produce, youll eventually need to get yourself over to the new Hmart in Jerhico.

Love this place, lots of Asian and Latino products. Prices are generally good. Fruit and vegetables are a hit-or-miss: plantains, coconuts, lemons, sweet potatoes, coriander are good; tomatoes look terrible and oranges tend to be bad. They have some random organic products, including organic Amish Farms milk. I dont really shop for meat and fish there, the place does not meet my picky standards for those. Good selection of household hardware. Using your own bags at checkout is quite a challenge, they really prefer you use the red plastic bags they provide, but if you let them give you at least one red bag theyll let you off. Best strategy is bringing the red bags back to reuse when shopping there again.

This was my favorite oriental supermarket, until I decided to buy fish from this place. I bought two pieces of flounder, which was on ice cover with plastic, maybe this should have been a hint, I guess they were trying to cover the horrible smell that I discover when I got home and was about to seasoned the fish. It went right to the garbage. I would have taken it back but I leave a little far from this place, so I figure lesson learned. Stay away from the seafood session.

Wonderful fresh cooked food and seafood. The bakery is on the premises and all bakery items are fresh daily !! Lunch portions are huge and can be split between 2 people. Food is cooked fresh daily and doesnt last. By 1:15, all choices and portions dwindle. All food is served with a clear vegetable broth. A steal at $6.00!

Awesome place for fresh fish and meat. These guys actually support the neighborhood and supports local products sometimes. Although sometimes, due to the large size of the store, its kinda hard to find some stuff. But when that happens, I just find the big guy (Allen?) and hell guide me to the stuff. Lol

It may not look like much on the outside, but dont be afraid to go in. Theres lots of great food and groceries to buy if youre looking for Asian stuff. Definitely one of my favorite places to go for lunch. The appearance may throw some people off but its still a great place nonetheless.

One of the better and larger asian markets on long island outside of queens. Good prices on produce and meats, large selection of asian goods. If you are hungry the take out restaurant is cheap and you get a lot. On your way out dont forget to pick up some baked goods and bubble tea.

Awesome selection of Asian products. Prices are generally low. Somewhat disorganized and it could be cleaner. Watch those use by dates, Ive found a many old product on the shelf. Still, if you want to cook Asian and live within 10mi of the place, you have to go.

The only Asian supermarket I know of that carries my favorite Asian foods and spices. Id rather go here than all the way to Flushing and Manhattans Chinatown. Their prices are reasonable and contrary to what others have said, the place never smelled like dead fish.

I cant say its the cleanest place and most of the people there do not speak English its an Asian supermarket, but they have a fantastic fresh fish counter and an enormous variety of Asian fusion foods and Delicacies.

Good selection of Asian ingredients, just avoid the fish market the fish is hardly fresh unless coming out of a tank and even then not always the freshest. Stick to the produce and other areas.
