I shop at this Wegmans store quite often. While it is nice with a lot of good and hard to find selection, the customer service is severely lacking. This past Thursday, I was in the "Bulk Food" area of the store. Wanting to pick up some honey roasted peanuts, I noticed that the container for them was empty. Looking around for an associate and not seeing anyone, a Wegmans employee was passing by the aisle. I told her the honey roasted peanut container was empty, and her response was, "I work in the Bakery department and dont know anything about this area" and kept walking. Now, I understand that it may not be your department, but dont you work with and interact with other employees at the store? Could you at least attempt to help me find the right person to talk to about them being missing. After asking her this as she kept walking away from me (must have been her cigarette break), I found another "employee" and asked could he help me. His response, "Well, I dont work in this store normally." Again, DONT YOU AT LEAST INTERACT WITH OTHER EMPLOYEES? Exasperated, I asked him this. Getting no response, he walked away from me and disappeared into the back of the store. I finished getting the items I needed in the Bulk Food area. Another 5 minutes went by before someone comes ambling up to me to let me know that they are out of the honey roasted peanuts and wouldnt be getting another shipment in until Saturday, 2 days later. First and foremost, the customer service in this department at this Wegmans location is lacking. Secondly, the honey roasted peanuts werent the only item that was completely out in the Bulk Food aisle. Whomever is responsible for this area in the store needs to pay more attention to what item is being consumed heavily and have reorders faster that 2 days. Isnt this a flagship store?

Wegmans is universally accepted as the finest grocery shopping experience in the United States. Whole Foods (whole paycheck) doesnt hold a candle to Wegmans. Not only is the selection second to none, the prepared foods are outstanding. I particularly love coming in on the weekend for breakfast. Scrambled eggs with anything you want in them (sausage, peppers, onions, roasted veggies, cheese, and more) with two sides, only six bucks. Youd be hard pressed to find a diner that can beat that. Their catering department has incredible variety and consistency of quality. Also, I regularly find new items available in the produce department, something rarely found in other grocery stores. Might you spend a little more to shop here? Yes, but you certainly get what you pay for.

Within an hour of landing in SYR, I find myself shopping at the Dewitt Wegmans. Recently, I was in town for 4 days and made 8 trips to this terrific store. Weve lived in Naples Fl for 17 years now and love it ...except we dont have any Wegmans. Wegmans is by far the finest grocery store in America and the Dewitt store is the best of the best !! Not only is the bakery the best but the entire store is terrific. The food court has such a variety, too many options to mention. Plus the staff is fantastic!! Everyone seems to want to be helpful...nobody appears put out with simple requests or questions. In particular, Cathy at the customer service counter. Shes knowledgeable, efficient and treats you like a VIP !! Keep up the good work and please consider expanding to Florida !!!

Its a great store, with great staff. Too bad most of the customers are pushy snobs who just assume run over anyone in their way. I was there for about ten minutes tonight to get a few necessities, and I was nearly run over at least five times; people fly around the corners and simply glare at you when you jump back, and they practically shove their carts into you while youre stopped to get something off a shelf. Heaven forbid you delay them by a few seconds! Maybe its just Dewittians, but shoppers here seem to have no sense of common courtesy or personal boundaries. Ive never encountered so many rude, cut throat people under one roof before. It makes me want to go somewhere else despite how wonderful everything else is.

I drive 40 min.every week to shop at Wegmans in Fayetteville. One of the things I love most besides their very knowledgeable staff is that they r Vegan friendly !!! Every Wegmans brand that is Vegan is clearly marked as such ! This saves me so much time & guess work...Thank you so much to the Wegmans family for beautiful Whole food & for being environmentally conscious ! Forever a loyal customer P.S I met an employee by the name of Cindy who deserves a superstar award...she praised the Wegmans Company as she was handing out samples & multitasking in marketing ! She made my day ! So happy to see someone really enjoying their job...!!!

I love this place, great atmosphere. But why is store brand hummus mostly water. Why dont you carry Tuscan Herb hummus. Why are the vegetarian items and Bocas marked up so high, when Aldys was selling them for $2.19 a pop. This place is part of the problem where supermarkets decide what we eat for us. Give us what we want and stop omitting items with a less pleasing profit margin. On the other hand, there is a great bike path behind this place that leads to the Erie canal trail. But why are your bike racks portable cumbersome hunks of scrap metal.

Ive been going here for years and years. Amazing prepared food, love the caesar salads they make on demand as well as the sushi. Great selection overall, but come here prepared to walk longer distances as the store is quite large. The brick floor in the produce area makes WAY too loud of a clickety-clack sound that is unnerving and the store is very busy on weekends. But there are also way more samples on weekends, so you do your own calculus :) Still overall a definite 5-star experience and I come as often as I can despite the half hour drive.

I liked this store, and was a bit disappointed. The first Syracuse Wegmans that I shopped is on James St. at Thompson. I was in search of south Asian cooking sauces, and was advised to shop the store in Fayetteville. I did it today, but found only a few south Asian products, not much more than I can find in Green Hills Farms. The produce is also not much better. Although I liked this store Green Hills is closer to my home--I dont drive. As was expected in both Wegmans, the Customer Service is exemplary.

Best grocery store chain ever. We love Wegmans. The Syracuse location is quite large and boasts a magnificent selection of ready made food. Fresh meat, fish, baked goods, bread, etc. Gluten free, vegan, soy free, dairy free items? You bet! Great coffee, fresh trail mix, and everything in between. Ramen. Spaghetti Os. Oh yeah. And the Wegmans brand is highly compatible with name brands. They really care about quality AND affordability. Enjoy. Youll say some Google reviewer told you so.

Wegmans has everything and their beer selection is off the chart. Generally their produce, and deli counters have a great variety of fresh, very reasonably priced options that reflect a nice diversity. I was pleasantly surprised with their catering platters too. Great value but they put a lot of care into making them look nice as well. That said, this place is huge and when its crowded, it can be annoying to navigate and check out lines get long.
