I was looking for a place for some new ink and was referred to The Body Shop. All of my previous tattoos have been by places/artists that I vetted and researched for a month at least before a needle went to skin. I was in a rush on this as I had my sister in law here from Japan and she wanted to get a tattoo covered up. So I just took a leap of faith, and it paid off. Alisa was our artist and I was very impressed with her work. Outlining was great and the greywashing was also pretty good. Even with my researching and hours of looking at portfolios of previous artists Ive had tattoos done by, I can still find a stray line here or there or a little bit of shading that wasnt quite up to par, which I understand comes with the territory as your not drawing on paper, its skin and it reacts to the needle and raises, inflames a bit, becomes irritated. With all that in mind Alisa still managed to give me the best tattoo Ive had yet (in terms of quality of outlining/greywashing/shading *I only have shaded/greywash tattoos). As far as the experience, it was pretty laid back but mixed with the right amount professionalism. The tattoo was about 5 inches wide and 8 inches long and pretty detailed. Amazingly I was able to get in the next day to get it, which was also a first for me. The shop was clean, fresh needles taken out of package in front of me, all prep work done in front of me. After the tattoo the bandaging was a sort of black on one side gauze on the other type bandage. The only thing negative I can say about the whole experience (and it really isnt a big deal) was that masking tape was used to hold the bandage on. Reason I say its not a big deal is that bandage is only supposed to stay on for 2-6 hours. Mine came off in about 2 hours as my body had already started to accept the ink and had stopped bleeding. All in all Im very satisfied with my experience here and will definitely be going back, probably a few times, in the near future.

Got my tattoo 2 years ago in July and almost all of the ink is gone. The lines are shakes and it looks horrible. Thanks for a temporary tattoo that permanently looks awful.
