Im not sure what happened to this store, but it has improved so much in the last year, service-wise. The formerly openly complaining staff are now helpful and pleasant. Workers say hi when they pass you in the aisle. Store is clean, and they are well stocked; I have not experienced the out of stock situation on advertised specials another reviewer mentioned. Recent store updating is attractive; thanks for investing in our neighborhood. I have nothing but the highest praise for Nate the pharmacist....he has really gone the extra mile to minimize our out of pocket costs. Well beyond the call of duty. Downside? Their price structure of marking up to put items on sale is frustrating. Produce is often double the price of nearby Price Rite store. You have to search ads, play games, check the internet and save gas points to get value...pity the poor shopper who just blindly go in and buy something. Another problem is their checkout registers....there are often issues resulting in overcharging, especially with Internet coupons, and other involved "deals". Seems the computers cant handle complicated transaction. They always cheerfully refund the overcharge, but it happens repeatedly. Wed rather throw our deposit bottles and recyclable bags in the trash than go into the disgustingly filthy bottle reception room. Panhandling is common in the parking lot; I have, on occasion been approached in the store as well. When that happens, its too much for me, I report that person to security and they have been prompt to respond. At least one security guard seems more interested in chatting with friends that doing his job. Operating a intercity store is difficult, this operator does an exemplary job. A big asset to our neighborhood.

Almost everything advertised on sale in fliers, ads, or the Sunday paper to get you in the store, they seem to almost always be out of within hours after the sale. In most cases these sales start Sunday morning & are advertised as on sale for the whole week. But I work Sunday, & wouldnt like the early Sunday sales rush mob anyway. By the time I get there Sunday night, the next day, or the rest of the week, the shelves are bare of almost anything that was on sale, They only put out a little bit of sale items out for Sunday, & dont restock it the rest of the week. I cant even find hamburger (ground beef) by Monday for under $4 a pound while its advertised on sale for the whole week at $1.69-$1.89 a pound since Sunday. Even regularly priced stuff like store brand or generic whole wheat bread is gone by Tuesday or Wednesday. This has been happening every week for 2 years. I only go there once in a while now because its miles closer than other supermarkets, but I still always have this problem. Whatever I want that is supposed to be on sale is simply not there. Store, generic, & cheaper brands of popular items that other stores always carry all week are also missing after Sunday afternoon or by Monday. Youre forced to buy the expensive brands, an undesirable substitute, go without, or go somewhere else. So if you want to save money, get there early Sunday, fight the crowds, endure the long lines, rude customers (who also block every aisle), & everybody breaking the express checkout rules, or go somewhere else any other day.

The freshest bread in the city. The most friendly staff and a wide variety of fruits ,vegetables and rice. Yes a wide variety, more than any other Tops in the city limits. If you love to shop local, do not go to broadway location Tops, or the filthy broadway market. They are also many bilingual Spanish employees and many other cultures in the neighborhood. I have lived in every part of the city, this is the best Tops around. Thank you

Amazing customer service! Employees are highly friendly and greet you as you walk within the aisles. It is fast service and they carry a huge variety of both, brand names and store brand name items. Customer Service desk is available here. MetroPCS is also available here. Excellent place to save and not to forget their fresh vegetables and fruits.

Large selection of food items, mostly processed and GMO food products. I believe they will allow customers to use restroom in emergency. Pubic transportation at street, they cash checks, scratch off and lottery games, bottle and can recycling, quick check out. Friendly employees.

The 5 for 20 deals are awesome. No pita bread though. Whatsup with that. I cant complain much about the service. The only issue is how slow the customer service line moves. Definitely get in that line around noon when everyone is at work. Dont even bother on the weekends.

Bastante completo y son muy amables. Es agradable porque casi todos hablan español, lo cual facilita todo mucho...

Despite a line of about eight people, our cashier kept asking customers if they had a Tops card after finishing scanning all of their items. They then had to fill out the form. Had she asked first, it would have saved me about five minutes. Poorly thought out process.

Is an alright market, wouldnt do my daily shopping there but stop by on my lunch to get some items. Can be a bit expensive but the bonus card makes you save so much so if you go here get the bonus card (its free) unless its definitely not worth it!

An average supermarket, nothing too extravagant or out of the ordinary. The fact that uniformed security guards are necessary bring down the rating from four to three out of five. The store can also be tight to maneuver around in, as well.

They have a good selection of groceries. Prices can be a bit steep at times but if you keep tabs on there weekly flier you can find quite a few good deals. I especially like the gas points incentive. Saves me money on food and gas.

Worse TOPS in the area. Slow rude service. Dirty store. I have not had one good experience in here. The only reason I have been in there more than once is because it is close to my job. But I would not recommend.

Large brand name selection. Good deli, butcher and baker. Sale prices really dont feel like sales. Rewards card is geared toward vehicle owners with gas rewards, there really is no rewards beyond that.
