I came here on a Friday night (June 5 of 2015) and had a thoroughly atrocious experience. I stood in line and the lady checking people out told us curtly that the line was ending. When a man came up behind me I told him it was closed. The guy then went to the staff member nearby, and that staff member (Wanda M.) said it was in fact open. I went over to Wanda and politely asked her to coordinate better. She then threw a tantrum, rolling her eyes and saying "Im not doing this right now," as it she would otherwise pick a fight. Wow! Thats no way to treat a paying customer, or anyone else. I refuse to be sassed at. Wanda then took over the stand and the original staff member walked away, laughing and rolling her eyes at me. How outrageous for two employees to treat me with such contempt. Perhaps they get no discipline from their managers, or perhaps theyre always that way and no one speaks up. Theyre an absolute embarrassment to the Target brand if they acted that way in front of most managers theyd be fired. Now I understand why some people only make the minimum wage! I spoke with a manager and she said she would so care of it. Hollow consolation. Target as a whole is among my favorite stores. It was my regular place in Seattle, and I took advantage of the 5% RED Card discount. That admiration hasnt translated to New York. Besides the awful experience with Wanda, staff members get real pushy with their carts. Apparently they fail utterly to stock overnight so they parade new stock around, with shoppers as obstacles. Where is the planning? Logistics plz. Not five minutes into my trip a lady pushed a cart around a corner, pausing with a mildly annoyed look without apologizing or retreating. Another guy pushed a stack of carts down a upper-floor aisle. Why they needed carts on that level remains a great mystery of the Universe. A guy on the lower floor pushed a stock across the store -- be there any other time to do this? Shoppers get pushy too. A couple kids were also running down the aisles. I found the water bottles in the kind of disarray youd see on Black Friday. Matched to the wrong price, with several varieties mixed in a single slot. No way to parse through it, so I ended up sifting and rearranging them even further. Disorder breeds more of itself. The bottles were also pretty embarrassing. Most were plastic, and we have yet to know even a fraction of what goes into them. (BPA is one of countless chemicals they use, many of which have never been tested for safety). Most were dead ugly, with tacky chrome-y finishes. Some were plain silly, like the caricature of a Mason jar with a straw in it. I picked up an Aladdin Thermos knockoff, which in the end was a very stupid idea because it was massive and because the double locking mechanism required twenty seconds of work just to get a good drink. Their umbrella aisle was also wiped completely clean on the day of a rain storm. They need to get better about their inventory. You can predict these things. They do have a restroom and water fountain, so have no shame in taking advantage there. Just dont buy anything. Its the only Target thats easily accessible from the busy parts of NYC. Since its so awful, it looks like I wont be shopping at any Target for the time being.

This has to be the worst Target store Ive ever used and Ive been shopping at different Targets for at least 16 years. I also worked in retail and know the deal. The employees are unhelpful, most act like your not even there even if they are blocking the items you are looking for while having a conversation with another employee. That is assuming that they have the items you are looking for. For some reason they cannot keep the store properly stocked. And when I say they don’t have the items, it’s not a situation where I came in one week and they were out of one thing, they have whole shelves of items just completely missing for weeks as if they don’t do store inventory properly. The people that work at this store have no work ethic. The pharmacy is super slow and has a ridiculous 5 item or less policy. I always have less than 10 items that I sometimes have when picking up a prescription and they have actually made me put away items, WTF? I’m not trying to buy a cart full of items, just basics like toothbrushes, Tylenol, deodorant, etc. This store is the worst Target I have ever shopped at.

The is a large store on two levels, near transit and the LIRR, with plenty of (paid) parking. Amazing selection of everything (including food) at very reasonable prices, with a 5% discount using the Target card, even sale items. However your site says people spend ten minutes here - its more like an hour due to the variety of things to explore. Good customer service (returns and adjustments). There is one thing to note for new Target customers: The many checkout lines each have lights. Head for lines with their light ON. If there are people on a line but the light is OFF, that means the line is closed to new customers. That does not always get communicated to new people trying to enter the end of the line, and it causes confusion. One other thing: Target ONLINE sales and offers do not apply to in-store shopping. The online site does not make this clear. Their weekly ad has all the in-store sales (and is worth checking out before heading there) , and its available on their website, or sign up for an emailed version.

If it werent for the good deals you can occasionally get at Target I wouldnt bother with this place. The staff is rude and unhelpful, and will ignore you if you have a question while they continue a swear word laden conversation with their co-worker. Everytime I go there and pass aisles where the staff have congregated for a chat session I am AMAZED at the topic of conversations that I hear and the curse words coming from their mouths. Mind you, there usually are small children around with their shopping mothers and I find it incredibly offensive to listen to street talk coming from employees of a national chain such as Target when Im trying to shop. When you ask a question you are met with a hostile scowl that reads "why are you bothering me?" and thats putting it nicely. Im all for urbanization and I know alot of people benefit from the inner city Targets but the staff has to be trained better. Target Headquarters and Powers that be in Minneapolis-- I hope you are reading this.

Apparently the only people who go to this store are those who can afford to spend their entire afternoon wandering the maze before finding out the product theyre looking for is out of stock. The place always looks half-destroyed, and it never seems they restock anything. Dont attempt to call to check stock, as you will be put on hold for 15 minutes as countless dolts pick up the phone to ask why youre holding. Eventually, they will disconnect you. Unless you live within blocks, it is hardly worth taking the subway to go to this zoo, this rats nest. Its unfortunate, because some of the busier, more mobile and intelligent people living in the outer boroughs would like to be able to save money on high quality products, but this store is clearly the domain of local, slow-moving TRASH who have nothing better to do than saunter through a megastore, leaning into their carts with their massive bosoms, shoving cinnabuns into their mouths.
