I grew up with fish and bought a 55 gallon kit from perland recently for my office. In the next couple months I added a 29 gallon, a SecoND 55, and now a 20L. I have purchased 90% of my fish from this location. Luis and Marcy and Justin are a TON of help and I go there every other day now. Everyone is friendly, I enjoy the culture throughout the store and have even traveled to more petland discounts on staten island and brooklyn. The staten island location is also fantastic. Highly recommended

Bought my first fish tank today, I have yet to buy the fish. The staff was great in helping us pick out a tank and they gave us great advice and helped us alot since we really did not know what we were doing. They even helped us by giving us a coupon to bring down the price a little. I come here often when I need some items for my other pets.

Understaffed. Or staff wanders. The front counter is often abandoned. The staff that is there will ask you a question dissappear only to reappear 10 mins later to ask the same thing. Also understocked. Several occasions after waiting to be helped for 15-20 minutes I am told they are out of a frozen mouse.

Bought a betta fish here for my 4-year old son for Christmas. It was dead within 4 days due to massive fin melt (ie aggressive fin rot). Not sure about the health of other fish they keep in tanks, but I would not buy a betta here again.

They have huge selection of cat and dog supplies, but no cats or dogs are sold in store. They sell live crickets and other live foods for reptiles, some reptiles, birds and small mammals (hamsters, guinea pigs, etc).

Friendly staff willing to care for animals and explain even the weirdest things a customer could ask. I go here for all my goldfish, cricket, turtle, and Hamster needs. (Usually a good deal somewhere in the store)

Clean store but I had to ask for help rather than them asking if I need help. Everyone just ignored me standing by the fish tanks till I said something almost felt like I was begging them to take my money.

Very good prices, the saltwater fish were very healthy. I purchased a Snowflake Moray Eel from here. The main tank does appear to have a bit of a phosphate problem but other than that everything was great.

I bought some goldfish here, and they came down with ick the day after I put them in my tank, and fish lice after treating for the ick. Dont buy fish here.
