Ive been living in this area for 5 years...and have come to this market every day....but no more the other day after work, was looking for a mop.... not finding what I was looking for I exited the store.... I then was stopped by a security guard and told to open my bag....I asked why... they saw a plastic bag sticking out of my bag...store policy to check bags leaving.....I told him that I only will open my bag if a NY police officer was present....the manager a Mr. Ham or Hon then told me that he "no have to call police"...I told him that "No rent a cop was going to go into my bag... after asking him to call the police several times... he called an other security guard.... I then sat down asking them to call police... I then called the police ... while I waited the two guards started talking about how they deal with shoplifters..... finally after listening to these thugs 10mins. police came I explained....the looked and found nothing....Mr. Hon or Ham was nowhere to be found...the THUG guards went outside..... Later I found out speaking to others , that this seems to be done only to older people , they rarely stop anyone younger (Im 60) I will be filing a complaint with BBB & Trade commission...if anyone else has had a similar run in... contact the BBB.

I LIKE THIS FOOD BAZAAR BUT THEY LET THE SPANISH CUSTOMERS GET AWAY TOO MUCH. THERE WERE FIVE MORE CUSTOMERS BEHIND ME AND THE GIRL IN FRONT OF ME COULDNT DECIDE ON HOW MUCH GROCERIES SHE WANTED TO BUY. SO THE CASHIER AND THE KEY CASHIER KEPT LETTING HER GO BACK TO THE ISLE TO GET MORE GROCERIES. SHE WENT BACK AT LEAST 4 TIMES. MEANWHILE, ALL THESE PEOPLE ARE WAITING TO CHECK OUT AND NEITHER THE CASHIER, KEY CASHIER, NOR THE CUSTOMER APOLOGIZE FOR HAVING ALL OF US WAIT FOR 30MIN JUST FOR THIS ONE PERSON TO DECIDE ON HOW MUCH GROCERIES SHE WANTED. SMH. IT WAS 2 MORE CASHIERS STANDING BY THE REGISTER WATCHING THIS HAPPEN. THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO TAKE THE NEXT PERSON UNTIL SHE MADE HER DECISION. BUT NOOOOO. THEY HAD US WAITING UNNECESSARILY. WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN 7 MINUTES TO GET CHECKED OUT WHEN YOUR THE NEXT PERSON. WE SHOULDVE AT LEAST GOT A 10% DISCOUNT FOR WAITING SO LONG. THE CASHIERS NEED TO BE TRAINED TO LET CUSTOMERS ON THEIR LINE KNOW WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM SO WE DONT STAND THERE WAISTING OUR TIME.

One of my neighborhoods BEST KEPT SECRETS. Food Bazaar is HUGE! From the outside it doesnt look like much, but once you step inside you are transported to the world of fresh vegetables, breads, juices, noodles and what it seems everything that GOYA makes. This grocery store has all your basic needs and then some. You will find everything that you need for a good meal. The BEST thing about this grocery is the meat section. I have never been to a place that has a huge meat section like this place. Its so big that the temperature drops drastically. Once you walk in, it feels like your in a big freezer. (perfect for the summer). You would see random dairy products such as cream cheese and butter just sitting there. No need to worry. Its that cold that dairy products can sit out like that. This place has good deals. Dont be shocked when all you need is a pasta sauce and dozen eggs. Then you find yourself walking out with 4 bags of groceries.

This supermarket recently remodeled, and the beer section in particular is now bigger with far more selection. The only problem is they sell SPOILED BEER. And will REFUSE to allow you to exchange. Ive been going here for ten years, and have never had a problem. Ive exchanged a few spoiled items in the past with no problem. Apparently this is a new policy. STAY AWAY. My guess is they are knowingly buying heavily discounted beer from distributors who are dumping it and then selling for full price. To pay for the remodeling maybe? Its a shame—they are obviously trying very hard to improve their store, but I wont be going there any more, especially with the Brooklyn Harvest Market right around the corner on Union.

This place is great!!! If you live close to this palace of foodstuffs you are a lucky person because the Food bazaar in brooklyn has one of the widest selections whit some of the best prices within a 10 mile radius. If you cant find it here theres something wrong. The people who work here are very helpful and friendly got everything i needed without having to rip my hair out doing so. All i can say is i want one near where i live so i dont have to travel to brooklyn to do my food shopping.

I like this store! The are always so friendly and helpful. I get a lot for my dollar. I love the renovations and the structure of the food isles . I do however has Seen a slight increase since the renovations. Sadly I havent seen any brown people working in the store at all . That does disturb me. Unfortunately, I have smelled Clorox on the fish in the past. I havent lately because I really havent purchased any fish from them.

The store, personal was rude when you questions prices that have a tag for one price and when it scans its a different price. You can never speak to a manger. I hate when the cashier speaks to other customers in Spanish in front of you. Why be rude. Let the customer who has a question wait while your working with another one. I would not recommend this store unless your Hispanic or anther nationality besides Black.

Muy buen supermercado, además comida a buen precio y muy rica, lo único es que el menú no varía siempre consigues lo mismo. Es por lbs el pagó de la comida.

The cashier I went to comment to the manager to release her because she was tired of looking at people. If she feels that way she shouldnt be working In a super market because her job as a cashier is attending lots of customers until she punch out for the day . Her words were NOT professionally . Thank you sincerely, Noemi Castro

food bazaar is pretty sweet. except for the ridiculously long lines. avoid on pay day and on the day peoples ebt cards are refilled. killer beer section. refrigerated meat ROOM. not the freshest veggies. weird things ... like guinea pigs. seriously. its not named bazaar for nothing!

This super market is HUGE and has everything you could ever need. The new renovations are looking awesome so far, too. The only reason Im giving 4 stars is because it can take a while to figure out where things are so pad in some extra time if youre shopping for something new!

I love this supermarket it has everything your looking for and then some. They also carry certain things by the bulk, like can goods, cereals and meat. They even have an aged meat, dinning area and a fresh seafood section. All in all Food Bazaar is a great place to shop.
