Wonderful Life

Staff is unpleasant. Bought an item to store dog food, discovered it was too big, brought it back the next day WITHOUT being used. This was a purchase for almost $40. They wouldnt refund our credit card after a less than 24 hour purchase. They gave a gift certificate back, and even when told that we dont appreciate a refund of a gift certificate because its forcing the way a person spends his/her money, the person made a comment that since we spend about $200 in the store per month, we shouldnt care. This is POOR customer service in a community where news travels fast. You want business, be respectful. Refund money when a person makes a return. You dont care about losing business? Fine. We dont care about telling people how you treat your customers. We were never informed of this store policy dictating a gift certificate for a return, and after that certificate is used, we will NEVER SHOP AT YOUR STORE AGAIN and we will NEVER have anything nice to say because its not the first time a person has been nasty at that store. They got their money from our credit card and held onto it. They took OUR money and didnt give it back when we made a return. Unreal...bet the owner wouldnt like someone taking money out of his/her pocket and having someone dictate whether he/she could have it back after returning an unused item. You got your item back, wheres my money? Im forced to shop at a place that I have zero respect for and want to give no further business to - SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH PEOPLE WHO VALUE YOUR BUSINESS - THIS STORE COULD CARE LESS ABOUT RESPECT, CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND GIVING YOUR MONEY BACK TO YOU! The staff has been repeatedly nasty, and we shopped there because it was convenient, but I have ZERO problems with taking my business to a place that gives a refund when one is due with a staff that can be pleasant to customers and value their business. I hope other customers come to discover what so many of us have witnessed regarding your treatment of people in this community.

I agree with "Cheap and Nasty". I had been shopping there for many years buying dog and cat food and other supplies. Bought a bird pond warmer and it died, they replaced it and it also died after about a month of use, went back this one older woman was really nasty and said they would not give me a refund so that I could even buy the more expensive warmer. This warmer only cost about $15. I told them I would never walk in there again and she seemed fine about losing my business over a $16 purchase. Go to agway in Danbury or animal kingdom in brewster. better service and good prices.

This is a 1st class pet store that is owned by people who not only really care about animals, but are 1st class people. They are always willing to help and recommend what is best for your pets, not necessarily the most expensive solution. We have 2 Boxers and we spend a lot of money on their food and well being. We drive 25 minutes to the Brewster store and do not think twice about going some place closer.

The family and employees are great ...if they dont have something in they will order it right away. They carry the best quality outside bird food and inside birds ...and now there getting us Island Treat Bird Food it"s made fresh a family business. They make a Garden mix or a Fresh Fruit/Nut mix, yogurt treats and fresh made honey nuts. Package in double bags for freshness! JBW

Cant imagine why people have to post such petty attacks.... been shopping there for years, just not too often as they are a little off my usual route. My friend says they have the BEST prices on feed for our poultry. I like that there is a good assortment of critter foods... not just the usual supermarket stuff. The store cat is beautiful. Great place.

I adopted my cat from here. I havent been here in a long time but I cant believe the reviews. I work in the pet industry and I have to say that the people working here, that I spoke to, were extremely knowledgeable about animals, especially live stock. The prices are great and the people were nice so I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I buy all my kitty litter, cat food and cat toys at The Feed Barn. They have decent prices and the service is good. I also feel strongly about supporting independent businesses and will always opt for shopping at a nice, humble place such as this one over a big fancy chain store any day!

I grant that this place is cheap. But the people are not nice and they dont know very much. If all you want is cheap and bad service than this is your place. Im going to find a pet store that can help me and the people are really friendly. I will never come back here again.

The old women are very grumpy and rude. And they dont feel arguing with a customer is rude. Dont try to ask any questions of them otherwise theyll just argue with you.
