Conversation started today Jimmy Docs 1:01pm Jimmy Docs Went to the Amityville, NY location yesterday. I was made to feel like a criminal for using 3 coupons on dog treats. The store manager snapped at me stating "The next time you bring in 3 coupons, you better have two other people with you". What was THAT about???? Maybe he was having a bad day? Not my problem! He immediately got into a derogatory tone telling me that my coupon stated "Limit one per purchase.".... to which I replied "ok... That means you can use one coupon per item purchased". He arrogantly snapped back "We could argue this all day, cant we?"... I said "Theres no argument. Thats what "one coupon per purchase" refers to".... This is to prevent people from using multiple mfr coupons on a single item. Anyone with half a brain.... Especially someone who is a STORE MANAGER should know coupon terminology..... So if I had 3 items, I can surely use 3 coupons. Right? Well, not in this guys store. The guy was a bully, and obviously has no business interacting with customers.... Never-mind managing the store. I was embarrassed and humiliated at the way I was spoken to, and refuse to return there until an apology is received from this so-called manager. Ive worked in retail for years and I have NEVER talked down to a customer the way this manager did to me. I live a block away from this store and shop there all the time, but I will not go back again if I am going to be made to feel like a criminal just for using a coupon. This was uncalled for and really out of line. The manager was rude, arrogant, and very unwelcoming. The guy is obviously on some sort of power trip. I feel bad for the employees there that have to deal with this guy.
