I noticed a lot of people seem to like to hate on best buy. While some locations may be not so great, the one in crossgates has always been great and I feel I should talk about it. Every time Ive gone there to buy something they have been super helpful and if they screw up they make up for it. Ive never had a problem with an order, the employees have always been super helpful, and they always have price matched if I find an item for cheaper online. Recently I went out to get a wireless adapter for a macbook pro I acquired which had a faulty wifi card. When I went to get it I was told that a WiFi adapter they recommended should work with macs but if not that I could return it. Turned out there were no drivers for Mac. I returned it and they took it no problem and apologized. An employee recommended I check the apple section of the store to see if there were any compatible adapters there. I spoke with the person manning the apple section with the apple shirt on and she said there were no wifi adapters in that section but she went with me back to the other adapters and checked through each one to see if they were compatible. None were so she apologized profusely and gave me a few resources to find compatible adapters. I eventually did find one and its on its way right now. That is just one story out of many but it shows me that they really do care about customers and even if they screw up once in a while they apologize and they actually try to help fix the issue. So yeah I just wanted to share that. You may still think best buy is evil and if you do fine but in my experience they have been great and Im very happy to do business with them.

There was a time I bought everything through Best Buy, there were always great deals, excellent staff and great customer service. After several poor experiences, the last one taking over 2 years to resolve I refused to purchase anything through Best Buy for the last 7 years. Recently I decided to give them another chance and I immediately regretted it. I purchased a tv from Best Buy over a week ago and now after 3 trips to the store I still have no TV. The first trip was with a rented van to transport the TV, but after getting home and dropping off the rental I realized they had given me the wrong TV. I should have just returned it and been done, but unfortunately I didnt. When I returned the TV, they didnt have the right one, again I should have stopped here. I then decided to upgrade to a bigger better one, after which I found out was also out of stock. I was told it would be in on the 27th so I agreed to still purchase it. I drove down after work to finally get my TV only to find out that the two in stock were reserved for other people and mine may be on the truck, but they wouldnt know until tomorrow. So now instead of relaxing watching my TV Ill be shopping for a new TV with a fresh reminder of why I dont purchase anything from Best Buy anymore.

I am extremely disappointed with the poor service my wife and I have received since buying a washer & dryer from the Albany NY Best Buy. The sale went well and your associate was extremely helpful. However, when it came time to receive our "free delivery and installation" your techs never showed up. We were given a time frame of 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and when the techs never arrived we contacted the customer service line. We were informed by a belligerent sales associate that our time had been changed to 12:30-2:30 without us being notified. When I calmly and respectfully expressed my frustration at the time being changed on a holiday without us being notified, the associate hung up on me. Needless to say I called back. The next associate informed us that the manager was too busy to speak with us but we could email the corporate compliance office to receive a $25 gift card. This is unacceptable! My time is more valuable than $25 (out of a $1,200 purchase). We will never purchase another item through Best Buy again.

Went to this Best Buy today to pick up a floppy drive and box of disks as I came across a tool that needed to run from a floppy disk. Figured Id save some time by ordering online and choosing the in-store pickup option, since the mall gets packed on rainy days. When I got there they had only pulled one of the two items and I was made to stand around for 15 minutes while they searched in vain to find the other. They said it was out of stock and I was told they would put a hold on my credit card until the other item arrived and I could pick it up. I said not to bother, as I wasnt going to wait a week for a box of floppy disks I can buy at any store. Walked over to the area where the CD-Rs and DVD-Rs were and found the boxes of floppy disks sitting there clear as day. No idea how a tag team effort of 3 associates couldnt manage to find them for the prepack order. Save yourself the hassle and just go find items yourself - it would be faster if todays visit is any indication.

I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that about 95% of the people who work there do not care about providing excellent customer service. They are told on a daily basis to get there sales goals and thats it. I know a good number of people who work there and do care, but they sadly get over shadowed by the people who are just there for the paycheck. I can understand that nobody cares to work there when they havent had a store manager hold a steady position in the company longer than 2 years. Turn over is very high, managers and supervisors dont treat their employees well (minus a select few who do) with many of the good workers being overworked and underpaid. It is no wonder they are one of the worst ranked stores in the entire company. The reason why I still shop there is to pick up the occasional game at 20%, other than that, I have no reason to. Do yourselves a favor and go elsewhere. Shop online if you have to. Sadly do not see this store lasting much longer.

Terrible customer service. Idk what happened to the exchange of money for goods. As in a simple exchange. I give you my money, I get what I paid for. I ordered a tv online on 11/24, and according to the Best Buy system its been in the store since 12/6. However, Ive gone to the store twice since then and my tv hasnt been anywhere anyone could find it in the store. So Im told that its a warehouse messaging error and I have to just wait if I want the tv. Meanwhile, their system (which hasnt been updated at all) sends me an email saying if I dont pick up the tv (which isnt at the store)by the end of the day, my order will be cancelled. This was supposed to be so simple, and not a single person in this store has even attempted to rectify the situation. Theres no easy way to get a hold of a person on the phone and I am very tired of driving to crossgates just to find out what I paid for apparently doesnt exist.
