1.Brought in a 2month old PC for Repair. 2. Also brought in a brand new graphics card and power source. 3. Graphics Card upgrade was purchased at BestBuy. 4. Insufficient Power Source on PC for Graphics Card.(nowhere to plug in the power cables of the card. 5. Power Source was purchased in order to complete instal of Graphics Card. 6. Before Power Source instal PC died. PC was brought into BestBuy Geek Squad for repair as well as instal of graphics card and power source. I was told they would perform a diagnostic. I said after this if it is the power source please instal the one I purchased and finish the graphics card instal. I was given paperwork stating if it is the motherboard that is the issue the money for the instal of the graphics card and power source would be refunded. i agreed and signed. 7-3-15 Called to pick up my repair. Arrived. Repair not complete. 7-7-15 called/emailed to pick up my repair. Arrived. Told by Geek Squad Rep that the hard drive and mother board had been replaced and the PC was working fine. I was informed by the same rep that the money for the graphics card instal/power source instal wouldnt be refunded even though that is what the paperwork says. Rep WOULDNt LET ME LEAVE with my PC which repair was already paid for unless I agreed to the terms that I wouldnt have my money for instal refunded. NO MANAGER available at Geek Squad to speak to for the next 2 DAYS according to REP. Returned home with my PC and found the PC was NON FUNCTIONAL. Returned to BestBuy and this was confirmed with another rep. BIG WASTE OF TIME. BIG WASTE OF MONEY. BIG HASSLE BY GEEK SQUAD REP. I MEAN HUGE! This is ridiculous. Not only the hassle of coming back and forth but told I couldnt leave with something that was MINE that was ALREADY PAID FOR in ADVANCE because GEEK SQUAD didnt want to HONOR THEIR OWN PAPERWORK. Although I cant speak for every location, the Best Buy in Mt Vernon is a disgrace. On one visit I was harassed by a an older worker with gray hair and followed around the store the entire time I was there, they must have thought I was going to shoplift just off of my appearance; after purchasing a Star Wars DVD collection my bag was searched and my receipt was read out loud by security: no other customer was searched. On a second visit I was disheartened because I was looking for a DVD that was not on the shelf and when I asked the first associate for help she did not make eye contact and nastily said that it wasnt her department. I asked a second associate and he checked his computer and although I told him I could not find the dvd on the shelf, he assured me that there were 17 copies and that I had to look harder because "the system says they are there". I searched every inch of the dvd section, the time spent in store was over an hour. Finally after extreme frustration I spoke with a manager and he checked his computer, saying that the 17 copies where in the back and could not be sold yet. He did not offer an alternate solution or show any sympathy for my frustration, just told me to come back next week. I found out later that I could have preordered it right while I was there and reserved a copy. The employees in that store are not knowledgeable and disgustingly rude. After seeing how management handled a customer service situation it is clear that it is not the employees fault but a severe lack of leadership, mentoring, and training. I am a film fanatic and have hundreds of movies, Ive always appreciated best buys extensive collection for sale, but I assure you that I will never return to that location and will inform every friend and family member to avoid that store like the plague.

I am a fityish professional, and only go to this store when I am sure of what I want to purchase. Help or advice in this store is nearly non-existent. Each of the last three times I went to this store I patiently wait my turn for a sales associate. Its never long before they need to go for information or to check stock and then they just disappear. Most recently I went to purchase either the Sony or Vizio soundbar (specific models, both of which were in stock). The Sony was on display but not the Vizio so after seeing the Sony display I asked to at least see the Vizio box so I could compare and decide. The associate said he would get it and told me to wait. After about five minutes I spotted the associate, now helping someone else. As this has happened to me more than once (in fact its my third time within the past few months) I went up to the associate he told me that I should be patient because he was now helping another customer. Oddly, each time the new customer was a young minority person (generally female). It seems that the associates have little regard for its customers and treat them rather badly - maybe this store is a better place to flirt than to purchase something. As someone in the service business I can confidently say that when your staff is so badly behaved and disrespectful it comes down to poor onsite management and even worse supervision.

Bought and paid for two TVs at the store. Both high end 4ks at a total cost exceeding $4,000. purchased the tvs on a saturday, was "guaranteed" delivery the following Thursday (my request). Got a voice mail the day before the delivery date that it was not going to happen. Took over an hour to get through to best buy people. Then was told delivery of the tvs maybe Monday. Sadly, the fios people are coming friday to set up cable etc in my new house. Hard to do with no tvs to test the signal. All the customer service people could do was tell me to call the store, who after 30 minutes sent me back to customer service. they all seem very nice (when you get through to them), but no execution. As I cant accept the tvs monday, I think I am pretty much finished with best buy. I find it surprising that dont have a samsung tv in another store. Finally, they did bill my credit card within minutes, but cant live up to their end of the deal. Amazon would have been a better option i think. Lesson learned. If you want your goods from the store, go to best buy. If you need delivery ets, Amazon is the way to go. I should note the people I delt with in the store were great. They are just let down by the company.

I went to BEST BUY in Mt Vernon, New York on Sanford Blvd on Monday, July 24. The little short, light skin dude who work in Home Theater (MAG) was rude and was texting when he should have been helping customers. When i approached him he LIED and said he was still helping the customer i saw him with. He told me going to the front lanes was my ONLY OPTION in a very rude tone. Needless to say i found another employee to ring up my purchase in the department. I told the Geek Squad manager who was running the floor about my experience. He apologized and said he would handle it. In my opinion, he should be TERMINATED. He shouldnt work with customers. He need to work in a WALMART warehouse because at BEST BUY WE BELIEVE IN QUALITY CUSTOMEŔ SERVICE. Did I forget to mention I am a supervisor at another BEST BUY. When my brother told him that he replied "SO". WORST retail experience Ive ever had. Im ashamed he works for Best Buy!!!! Bad decision hiring that one.
