This store caused me the most stress of my entire wedding! The women helped me to pick out gorgeous bridesmaid dresses, but failed to tell me that their seamstress was incompetent. She was "so stressed out" about how difficult the dresses were to alter (they were simple Alexia dresses) that she wanted us to take them elsewhere two weeks before the wedding. She also admitted that they took walk-in alterations as a priority over dresses already there. That makes absolutely no sense since my bridal party alone made them $2000. The owner took absolutely no responsibility for this woman; she did not want to be bothered after the initial ordering of the dresses. My maid-of-honor went for more alterations on her dress than I went for on my bridal gown (which was the Maggie Sottero Capri Royale from another store). This happened mainly because each time the seamstress told her to return to get the dress, the dress was incomplete because she was so stressed out and busy with walk-ins (her words). Also, they have the tendency to "measure up" meaning order you a larger size so that you require more alterations when the dress comes in. This happened to two of my bridesmaids. After all was said and done I heard nothing but HORRIBLE reviews from other people I know. Including one who had to buy her wedding dress off the rack a week before her wedding because they ordered her a dress 5 sizes too big and attempted to alter it to fit her. All in all please save yourself the stress and get your dresses elsewhere. Even if they are slightly more expensive you are going to save yourself the stress of dealing with a business with poor customer service.

These other reviews must be before Linda bought this store!! She is WONDERFUL. She is not only the owner, but she is the saleswoman, and the seamstress. Such a wonderful, wonderful, wonderful person. I am so happy that I walked into this shop!!! She is honest and very helpful. If you ask her for advice she will give you the best!! She was even giving me pointers of what designers she thinks has the best materials and quality dresses. When I pulled one that was more expensive she told me not to bother that it was poorly made and not worth the price. She gives you excellent one on one service, treats you with respect, and really cares about what you are looking for! I ended out buying all of my bridesmaids dresses and and will get them all altered here. Was even thinking about getting my wedding dress altered here rather than where I purchased it. My grandmother used to own a bridal shop, and Linda knows exactly how to run a successful shop that treats its customers with respect. Overall great bridal experience. I would have even bought my wedding dress here, just because I know I am in good hands, had I not fallen in love with one elsewhere. Those who have had a bad experience here must have been with the old owners. Give it another shot, this time with the new owner Linda and youll be presently surprised of the difference in service. Keep up the good work Linda!!

I think all of these negative reviews must have been before the new owner took over. She is WONDERFUL! I am from out of state and was coming in two days before the wedding to have my bridesmaid dress altered. Not only did she do a GREAT job (at a very very affordable price) but she did the alterations while I waited so I wouldnt have to rush around the next day anymore then I already had to! I have a lot of family & friends in the area and would recommend her to everyone!!! Best experience with a wedding shop I have ever had!!

I had the most amazing experience in this store. I went in one day before an event to have a formal dress altered and the seamstress pulled it off for me! 3 hours later it fot like a glove and was pressed perfectly. The personal touch and caring make this a very special shop indeed. I will be going back here for many more events!

Wonderful! The owner Linda gives you complete service along with her helper Sarah. They also have very good quality gowns to choose from. I deffenitly would recommend One Special Evening if you need a gown for any affair.
