up until recently, this was an A&P. i imagine Acme will close their market across Shrewsbury Avenue. to my mind, this place is overly expensive. all my more common items for purchase seem to be 50c, 75c, or even 1.00 more than the closest Shop-Rite. it also seems to suffer from 5.00-itis, as everything in the deli and bakery areas seem to be packaged and measured at that price. i recently had an experience where the deli scales were not level or calibrated correctly. if you have a choice, take the ride to Shop-Rite, or even the longer ride to WalMart, though we all know its buyer beware there. for what its worth, the staff at this Acme is nice and pleasant enough, but not worth the extra 10 bucks youll spend.

This is the old A&P taken over by Acme which moved from Shrewsbury plaza to this much larger location in Tinton Falls plaza. Not much at all has changed since it was A&P except there is no longer a self-check-out and Acme keeps the bare minimum employees on register at all times.This is an ok store with a great employee! Anytime I need something from the meat room, Cathy is always happy to help.

What a nightmare this place is. Horrible selection, often times there is rotten or no produce. The prices are much more than Shoprite or Wegmans and the checkout process will leave you scratching your head. You cannot get out of this place is a reasonable amount of time. An example of a place that is poorly managed.

Wish they had more plain bagels for their 12 for $5 deal. Also Im not a fan as to how the store is set up. You have the bakery and specialty breads on one side of the store and the name brands on the other side of the store by the milk.

I like the new Acme. The deli and bakery are great. However, there is not much variety in standard items, like peanut butter and dairy department is often empty of items. Front registers back up and I would like a self check out option.

Waited for 15 minutes at 5:00 PM on 2/22 in the seafood dept...spoke to courtesy desk twice for help!....I hope the new shoprite going in across the street CRUSHES ACME....your customer service SUCKS!!!!

WAY overpriced! Some items are $2.00 more than local stores. That said, their sale items are affordable. If youre in a hurry and cant travel far, they are closer than most food stores.

Since Acme took over this store, its cleaner and there is a fresher selection of meat and produce. The overall selection is great, and the lines for checkout are always short.
