When visiting the store, one of their counter clerks (Matt Salerno) advised me as to what dimmer switch would likely work for the application I described in our kitchen. I purchased it for nearly $60 and found out after installing it and talking to the switch manufacturer by phone that its not the proper switch. Given the circumstances, I returned the switch and explained what the manufacturer said and was told by the store owner that they dont offer refunds. No where on the invoice for the sale does it indicate they dont accept returns and offer refunds, and I was not told at the time of sale that I would be unable to return the switch for a refund. Their return policy should be very clearly stated on their invoices and/or expressed to the customer at time of sale--especially in situations like this. They also failed to try to make good in any other way on their ill-advised recommendation. It was a very bad first time customer experience for me and its definitely the last time Ill do business with Summit Electrical Supply. Beware!

Competitive pricing and knowledgeable help. For a small supply house they keep a good inventory .Can get and are willing to help get items not stocked. The older gentleman with the silver hair can be difficult so youre better off dealing with the young guys . For a contractor or a homeowner this is a great place to purchase lighting and supplies..
