We live in Maplewood & this store is the closest market to buy Asian food. We buy groceries, meat & fish from here & have had no problems with our meat or fish so far. Like any seafood you buy, if the fish has a nasty smell, dont buy it. The best day to buy fish is on a Saturday coz they go to (fish) market every Thursday & Saturday. The prices are much less expensive than our local fish market & just as good. The only complaint we have is that some of the frozen meat & fish are past their expiration date so be sure to check the label before you buy it. Other than that, the store seems to be fine. The other Asian market we go to is Kam Man on Rte.10 in East Hanover which is very good but just a further away.

Pretty nice place, has most of what you need. If your looking for a verity from the Asia regions this should fill all the brackets. I was looking specifically for Japaneses on my latest trip here and found exactly what I needed. Why I take the one star off is because I saw I guy handling the bread with his hands/no gloves. I wont be getting any bread from there for now...

Great variety of Asian products, fairly priced. Good selection of seafood. I bought 2 whole red snapper at around $10/lb (A great deal). However, it was not the freshest fish (cloudy eyes)-but was still fine. The large whole squid was also well priced. My kid loves the Japanese sodas which come in a ton of flavors. The frozen Kimchi dumplings are very good steamed.

Live in Maplewood. In the past weve been driving almost 20 min to get to a decent Asian supermarket - it now takes us 5-10 minutes. Very good selection. Excellent fresh fish, produce and prepares foods. Even has a Paris Vietnamese sandwich (Bon mi) stand. Closes a bit early (8:30pm) but otherwise tough to find fault with this mega-mart.

Bought a few sauces, but forgot to check expiration date. Later found out more than half already expired half an year ago. The remaining were expiring in less than a month. Those sauces can either be kept for 12 months or 18 months. Do not know if they really have reasonable management to ensure the basic quality of food.

closest area for asian food- has a good selection of asian food and bakery with decent selections. some hot dim sum items are there as well. limited hot food selections but its decent since theres not much around you can find elsewhere to compare. overall a good spot I go thats not NYC or philly.

A nice clean Asian supermarket with fresh meat, fish, and produce. Theyve got a wide variety of products to choose from--necessary if you plan on cooking authentic Asian cuisine without needing to travel too far to H Mart or HK Supermarket.

The market has almost everything that one would need to prepare and cook Chinese dishes . All items were priced within pennies of same items in New York Chinatown. Their price points beats out Hong Kong supermarket at Rt.10.
