I pass by this store daily. My first visit months ago, they short staffed, The one staff behind the register was talking away on the phone and couldnt be bothered to hang up the phone and wait on customers properly. Tonight I stopped by again, after swearing off never going to the store again. Wait and wait in line. The fellow behind the register was slower than you can imagine. He was too busy talking to a co-worker who was doing nothing but chatting with him while the line got longer and longer. The store was a disaster. Shelves were not organized. The checkout counter had 8 rolls of toilet paper on it, not leaving room to place you items. There was also trash on the floor. I probably never would have written this, but I just reached in my pocket and found a Canadian dime which he handed me for change. So that is my last visit.

My fiance and I were HUMILIATED by the cashier on Monday night at 9 PM. Whoever you were lady, SHAME ON YOU. I originally asked her for change of a $20 to help my fiance pay for her items. We were informed that she could not do that until she opened the register "because I dont know if youre a con man, and some people, when you open the drawer do things to confuse you (meaning her) and take money." But I was informed that after the transaction, she could do it. We bought $60 worth of items (plus a $5 donation for Harvey sufferers). She then took my $20 and said "I cant accept this. I cant see the strip in it it doesnt look real" IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. How humiliating. I vow to NEVER shop at this dollar general again. EVER. Too bad there want "0" stars available to rate it because thats what they deserve.

Yes sometimes they are a bit short staffed but its the Dollar Store not your local food store. Very friendly staff, almost always have what I am looking for. Great for a quick shop if you dont want to go to the food store. Jen the manager is AWESOME.
