Immediately after walking into the Middletown Value City location we were greated by the kind and patient sales woman Gloria. She was fantastic. She took us around the whole store answering all of our questions, giving us ideas and options. She saw me eyeing the mattresses and suggested that I lay down on their mattress simulation machine which would measure all my pressure points to identify the optimal firmness I should have to enhance my sleep. I thought it was wonderful and when I tested the beds according the firmness discoverd, it really did feel the most comfortable! Although the store was about to close, she did not rush us or hint of the closing time. It wasnt until after we left that I realized we were there past closing. Overall our experience with Gloria and Value City was phenomenal. Gloria was personable and extremely helpful. With Glorias excellent help, we bought a great sectional for our first home and will definitely be back to check out the mattresses. Thank you Gloria! We will definitely be back in the future!

Against my better judgement we ordered a bed for our Son here this past Saturday. It was going well and to my surprise the delivery date was set for Wednesday. After a run around with the truck driver & the call center my husband was so angry he cancelled the order. Our house couldnt be any closer to the road and its right across the street from a firehouse that they said they were sitting at. My husband even stood outside waiting for them to pass & drove down the street to the plaza they said they were sitting at after he said he was looking at the firehouse and no one was there. Lies & a complete run-around so they lost our business this time and in the future. Awful customer service on the phone too - I called a week prior to check if a display model was in the store and the phone system said I was the 4th caller aprox time would be 10 minutes. I sat on the phone for over 30 minutes and the man that answered couldnt help me anyway. I guess when you annoy enough people it takes a long time to deal with all the complaints.

Worst customer service department ever! The service people dont care at all about their customers! They also do not inform you on anything with repair orders you have to be suprised when parts show up at your house. I bought a couch from them and they called when they were 10 min from my house... Never let me know the time slot before hand. When people say "You get what you pay for" this store is the perfect example of that! My husband and I went off a recommendation for a brand of furniture from our sales lady and we were told it was a great brand and it wasnt a cheap couch! P. S the delivery people couldnt even connect the couch right and it was broken with in a week! Little to our surprise, that company factory dropped that couch so they dont even make it anymore! Do yourself a favor.. Save a few extra bucks and go to a better store!

My fiancé Katie and I recently purchased a "space saver"-style recliner from Value City Furniture in Middletown, NJ. We are more than satisfied with the recliner - but the attention to detail that Value Citys customer service, and salesperson Gloria in particular, paid to us and our purchase make this experience quick and pleasant. Gloria Cassese, our salesperson, made sure to offer us options in our price range and encouraged us to look at styles that were not our usual taste. She introduced us to a fantastic, affordable and solid recliner that we might have passed by had Gloria not called it to our attention. Thanks to her (and her boss Mike) we got a great deal on a piece of furniture we expect to keep in our burgeoning family for years to come.

We have shopped at Value Citys Middletown store a few times in the 17 years we are living here. We have always been pleased with the sales service, financing options, prices, delivery and anything we purchased. This time around we are starting to redecorate the rooms in our house one a time. With the help of Chris Roberts we made our first purchase in that direction. For me, its people who make the difference. And Chris does just that. He is helpful, yet not pushy (something that would make me run from the store, frankly). He takes his time, and let us take ours. He described all types of options available to us from both a product, delivery and financing perspective. We will be back!!

And yes, furniture sales is about commission but with Gloria I felt that her primary goal was to make me happy; Im very happy. I just purchased my furniture from value city my husband and I had an amazing experience the same representative Chris Roberts was extremely sweet and helpful he answered all of my questions and made the process exceptional for us. The store manager Steve also helped accommodate us when we had to unfortunately exchange a piece we purchased due to it not fitting in our apartment he stopped what he was doing to make sure we were able to exchange it right away I highly recommend their store and I will definitely be returning for future purchases !!

The staff at Value City Furniture stopped at nothing to make sure my 11 year old daughter got the furniture she really wanted. My salesman Joe Larkin was top notch! He made sure I left happy. Along with store manager Steve. Ive lived in Middletown my whole life and have shopped in value city before. This experience was by far the best!! I will no longer look elsewhere for furniture. Thank you Value City of Middletown for making my 11 year old daughter happier then ever. She cant wait for her new bedroom set to arrive.

We went looking for a new living room set on one of those hot, humid Sundays in August. Our saleswoman was Gloria C. who was the best! She was very personable and professional. She was even kind enough to get us a cold drink of water. Needless to say, we purchased a custom couch and loveseat. Our next purchase is a dining room set which will also be from Value City Furniture and on a day when Gloria is working! Kindness and patience goes along way and is much appreciated by the consumer.
