My husband and I just had the most phenomenal shopping experience of our lives, at Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Manalapan, NJ! I dont often leave reviews, but this warranted one! We were shopping for a non-spring mattress as I have several chronic pain issues and wasnt getting a decent nights sleep. After thorough research and laying on several different mattresses at other stores, we were most delighted with the Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme Breeze at Ashley! Why? I was made to feel comfortable spending as much time on it as I liked - with different pillows for head, between my knees + a chest-hugging one- all recommended by my incredibly well-educated Design Specialist, Michael Klostreich! Michael gave us an education on mattresses that pointed out pros + cons that my research didnt reveal! He was immaculately groomed and dressed, very well-spoken, courteous and extremely versed in his knowledge of the products! The General Manager, Ed Jasko, joined us very promptly! Where can you shop and be given devoted attention by such friendly, educated salespeople and the GM, to boot?! And, for hours! Ed Jasko sleeps on the very mattress we chose and wont sleep on any other kind! And this was not a sales pitch, as he confided his personal experiences, after we had made our decision! Ed, too, was exemplary with all the attributes I credit to Michael! There was zero pressure and in spite of the busy Memorial Day sale, we felt so at ease and like we had just made 2 new friends! Now that you have your new mattress, protector and pillows that feel like they were designed just for me...do we go with a new bed frame or just choose an entire new bedroom set that suits our new mattress? My question; not the salespersons. But, they were extremely helpful in pointing out which bed frames were ideal for our mattress. Low and behold, there it was, and in white! Weve had dark wood Ethan Allen furniture for quite some time and were planning on a new bedroom set in the near-future anyway, with a lighter, more stream-lined look. But you dont need EA for top-of-the-line furniture - Ashley has it! We decided we didnt need to shop around! The icing on our already fabulous cake was when GM, Ed Jasko price-matched everything to the online prices!! Wow ~ our savings were huge! And, with that charming smile and wink in his eye, Ed gave me another gift...gorgeous wine goblets...it doesnt get any better!

I placed an order with the Freehold Store and was lied to from the moment I placed the order. The bedroom set ordered was out of stock and I was hesitant to go through with the deal but the Assistant Manager said that he would see what he could do to get it delivered sooner so I went through with it. He called me a couple of days later letting me know he was able to get it delivered to me in 3 weeks instead of the 8 already told, so I said ok. Well comes to the week of delivery to get an automated phone message at 830pm on Saturday night that the set was out of stock and they would not be delivering. I went into the store the following day to talk to the Store Manager. He said he would look into things said he would call me on Monday to see what he can do to get the set delivered and basically did neither. He told me if it was just the headboard and footboard that were backordered, that he would deliver everything else on Wednesday and send in a frame so we could atleast use the set while waiting for the headboard and footboard to come in. Well he NEVER called on Monday. I called the store again on Tuesday morning and he was off, talked to another employee there would told me that everything was still on backorder and there was no delivery set for me that Wednesday. I left a message and sent manager an email to call me, never bothered to call me! then I got another phone call from his assistant manager saying that everything would be in that weekend and everything would be delivered on Sunday of that week. so I said ok, please have Robert call me though as I am still waiting to speak with him. once again no phone call back. Friday I decided to call Ashleys once again to make sure that my order will be delivered that Sunday, and come to find out once again I was lied to the headboard and footboard still on backorder, no phone call from Robert, nothing! I am now canceling the order. I have bought a lot of furniture over the years never from Ashleys and have never been so aggravated and been treated so poorly. I dont understand how anyone would rate this store with 5 stars! I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEYS AGAIN!

It was my first time shopping in Ashleys Furniture store. Our sales representative was a very nice girl, i apologize I do not remember her name, I was shopping for a new kitchen table, its my first time living on my own (Im 23) and I wanted a table that was pretty (and young looking/modern), and durable. I also wanted something I could invite my friends over for dinner and games and not have to be worried if someone doesnt use a coaster or if something were to spill. She showed me tables with a laminate top that were VERY beautiful. She showed me about 5 or 6 different options with all different price ranges. They also happened to be having a sale at that time so I was extra happy when I picked out my table and saved 300.00! They also have a really great protection plan, which I know most people think is stupid cause if you never use it you lost money. Well thats the beauty of theirs, if you never make a claim you get the money back in store credit. So i ended up getting a 5 yr protection plan this way if something were to happen (most things except for animal damage- Ex: your dog chews the legs, or cat scratches the chairs) everything was basically covered, however if I never have to make a claim I will receive that money back in store credit which I really liked. They delivered my table a week later and set it up for me so I didnt have to do anything except sign the paper when they were finished. All in all I would definately recommend them they plenty of furniture to choose from and it was all reasonably priced (fnot Walmart style furniture- cheap) and well built. I personally plan on going back to get a new coffee table!

My wife and I went to go Furniture shopping for a new couch. Upon finding the one we liked we sat down to negotiate the deal it was revealed that their promotion was only valid through one bank no where on any advertising does it say I have to open another credit account to for ashley furniture to get the 72mo financing. Also after looking online e there pricing was over 1000.00 more they said they wont price match an Internet store. After negotiate some more he said he would could do 2800.00 for the sectional tax and 5yr protection. I did not have that available on my account with them. I called an hour later to say I was going to take the deal as I came up with the other money. I was then told that it was plus tax which we had discussed an all inclusive price. I relented and applied onlinexpensive for the other financing and was approved so again my wife and I head to the store. When we walked in I asked for our saleswoman and saw the manager while we waited for our saleswoman I spoke to the manager told him I wanted the deal we discussed earlier he called his manager then said 2800.00 all in. I went to tell him I got approved for the new financing and he again changed the deal to 6mo interest free financing. His response was I have to keep the lights on sorry as he waved his hands in my face and started to walk away. My wife and I left completely embarrassed and angered after being treated like we had done something wrong. Now I have ano additional inquiry on my credit for nothing
