It is unfortunate that I have to write a negative review. I simply just cannot stand silent any longer. I purchased over $5,000 in furniture, including a 5-year warranty when I moved into my new home less than a year ago. Upon delivery there was significant damage to my bedroom set. After notifying them it took several weeks to get it replaced. If it ended there then you would not even be reading this review right now. Recently, two of the leather couches I purchased (approx $1600 total value) have begun to quite literally fall apart. To be clear, all of the damage is absolutely covered by the warranty I purchased. On the larger couch, several springs have fallen out. The couch also does not feel structurally sound and makes very strange noises when you use the recline feature. You can hear more loose springs and the cushions do not have the proper support. You can feel yourself sink far too low in certain areas. The smaller couch has several seams that have started to come loose. There are several areas where the stitching has begun to run and there are pieces of thread several inches long just dangling from the seams. The craftsmanship is extremely poor and as I already noted, it has been less than one year. All of this damage was reported as soon as it was noticed and all instructions were followed as far as initiating a claim for the warranty. There is a phone number that you are supposed to call, which I did and left a voicemail. I also sent an email to the address they listed, attaching many detailed pictures which is what they instruct you to do on the warranty paperwork. After multiple calls and multiple emails over the course of two months there has been ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONSE on their part. They are being completely negligent. I am in the process of exploring other ways to deal with this horrible company. I am filing a complaint with consumer affairs and I am also contemplating legal action. Please take your business elsewhere. This company does not have any interest in making their customers happy.

Buyer beware, it could take you months to get your stuff. My husband and I went in, we knew what we wanted and after meeting with a sales person got exactly what we wanted, or so we thought. At no point in any interactions did anyone tell us any part of our order was special delivery. We were told that it would be delivered next week. Over a month later and multiple phone calls I am hearing a different story every time I call. Last Monday it was, everything is in and you are scheduled for a next Saturday delivery. This Monday its 2 of your pieces are not in and we can not deliver Saturday because the truck is full. I am currently waiting for a manager call back and so far, my phone is not ringing. I suggest trying another store. Update: Some of my furniture has been delivered. After writing this I spoke with the manager at the Lakewood Store, Brenda I believe, and she got me on a truck. She was great and so far has done everything she has said. That being said, upon delivery my "special order" piece that held up my delivery by a month already was damaged. I denied delivery on that piece and promised I will be on next weeks truck. The saga continues.

2 years ago we bought a leather couch from value city. Unfortunately the coach had some issues. We had bought the warranty from them (thank God). We called them up and explained what was happening with the couch. they sent over a tech who then said that the couch could not be fixed. We got a call from the store and they gave us a full store credit for the couch. We were able to replace the couch with a new one and they also gave us the warranty for the new one. I have to say...I figured they would give us a hard time and tell me that it was pro rated and try some shady sales tactics. They didnt! I would shop here again and I would ask for Tom, he was easy to work with and didnt try those used car salesman tactic on me. I would have given 5 stars...but the first couch did die on me.

I walked into the store with my quills up ready to defend myself to not be pushed into something I didnt want. Margie greeted me and allowed me to have my space to browse. After a few minutes, she guided me to the couch and chair that would become mine. I couldnt be happier! I had told everyone I would know it when I see it. And I knew it! I bought the Jameston collection. Price was extremely fair. Delivery dates were accommodating. Communication from delivery team was exceptional. They set everything up, showed me how to dismantle if need be, and they took all of the packaging away. I was given ample time to scrutinize the condition of the furniture and it was spot on perfect. I had a great experience and Margie??? Youre AWESOME! Thank you!!!

I just purchased a tv/fireplace combo stand. It was just delivered and it looks wonderful. I had the pleasure of working with a gentlemen named Anthony. He was so pleasant,patient and knowledgeable about his inventory. When I told him, I still wanted to stay with oak, which is tough to find these days, he found the perfect piece for me. It was in stock and delivered quickly by a very pleasant crew. Anthony followed up on calls for delivery and so did the delivery crew. It could also be tracked on line which is great. Thanks for the help and advice .. looking forward to watching football and keeping warm with our new piece of furniture. Thanks, again, Anthony!

I dont think I would have bought a thing if it werent for Anthony ! He genuinely was a very nice knowledgeable , and patient salesperson. We had a few laughs going from one style to another and finally landing on my "Jetson" retro living room set. He did not stalk me ,yet he knew where I was and was right there when I needed a question answered. I am thinking of going back to buy some accents and look forward to seeing him and only doing business with him!

Have been buying from value city for many years going back to when I lived in the Middletown area. No matter which value city you choose the sales staff is super. The prices are unbeatable and the payment plan is great. Today my sales person was Doug and was extremely helpful and very easy to speak with as are the rest of the staff. I shop around for whatever item Im looking for but invariably always end up at value city. Im always a satisfied customer.

I came in for a bed and she showed me many different options and didnt pressure me, she gave me a great sales experience! I made a purchase and was very satisfied and felt comfortable.
