This is a supermarket operated by Spanish speaking employees. I have witnessed them not helping African American shoppers by pretending they dont understand what they are asking or shaking their heads and saying "No" when the question was indeed possible to answer. Such as "Where do you have garbage bags?" and instead of pointing to the aisle where they were, they never looked up and said "No." Today, I was discriminated against and I am a lower middle-class Caucasian. I was calm and kind and asked to see a manager about something. When the manager came back with the cashier they were both speaking in Spanish and once he got closer and saw me, he simply turned around and walked away. I have never asked to see him before, nor had any issue previously, so it is unclear as to why he would not even communicate with me except perhaps that I was the only Caucasian in line with other Spanish speaking customers. I believe this is an establishment that discriminates against other races than Latino. I do not have a problem with driving a shorter distance down North Avenue to the ACME supermarket.

Nice place to shop. Customer service is excellent, you can find every thing you need. If you dont have car they provide free delivery service. I dont know why some ones say bad things about this place because this is a good place. 100% recommended. Excelente lugar para comprar usted puede encontrar todo lo que nesecita, además si usted no tiene carro ellos proveen delivery gratis, no se porque algunos hablan mal si este es un buen sitio para comprar 100% recomendado.

This store may turn off or down the refrigeration units after closing because frozen ice cream was pre-melted and then refrozen and the milk spoiled on more than two occasions way before its expiration date. While the fruits and vegetables are inexpensive and a great price buy, they are always on their last legs and go rotten within a day of getting them home it seems. Packaged and canned products are priced really well and fare better, but the fresh or date expiration items just dont make it. Go to Aldi in South Plainfield!

No está mal pero, sí deberían ser mas cuidadosos con la limpieza de la tienda y el departamento de dairy porque si no te pones vivo, la crema,leche yogurt tortilla salen vencidos muy seguido....

food always go bad before its expiration date and ive seen that most items they have the expiration date is soon also they have $7 for low grade strawberries wouldnt mind paying that for some nice big strawberries but these were small and rottening

Its good prices for meats.. but everything else is expensive. ..and the Spanish ppl that work there. They are very rude have no manners.. & especially the female manager is very nasty

Friendly staff. Reasonable prices especially cold cuts fresh and adorable. I have had some issues with meat but, what supermarket doesnt . I take it back and kindly get it replaced.
