The staff of young adults (high school/college age) could care less about true customer service and explaining store policies regarding store credit and coupons. They do not pay careful attention when ringing up items on sale. When I brought to their attention that they overcharged me on an item, I was told I would have to wait until the manager got back from her lunch break in 30 minutes for them to refund my credit card because no one else was authorized to do so. Today they overcharged me $11 because store credit is considered the same as other promotions (i.e. coupon) and cant be combined with a store wide sale. Had I known I would have paid for items separately - something any employee who values customer service would have recommended.

Very poor customer service. Ordered a band organizer for a little girl and requested the color scheme to be natural leopard. When I went in to pick up the order the owner handed me a organizer done in pink and orange. Not what I asked for and could not give as a gift. Gave me an attitude and told me that "the browns would not work". I was originally told that it is done all the time. I accepted the product and proceeded to look to donate the item to a charity. I was able to go to another supplier and have the item done the way I requested. I may shop there again but will never take advantage of their personalization services. The attitude of the owner sets the tone for the store and she has a major attitude problem.

Great selection of toys and the staff has always been polite. A little pricey but thats the only downside. My daughter loves to go there to play with the toys they have on display. The staff has never made us feel unwelcome even the days we just go in to play. The shopkins trading is a big hit with my daughter. We can go in at any time to trade and they treat us so well (even though we arent spending).

I echo the sentiments about the management and staff, for the senior staff mostly, being rude and ill equipped to respond to children. Being highly overpriced is another issue. It is a shame that they are unable to appreciate and value the clientele, when as shoppers we are willing to overlook the cost of the toys. We will no longer be shopping or browsing this location.

They frequently do not honor their own coupons, and refuse to accept returns for unused merchandise, even for store credit. Their practices are not customer friendly and their management are very rude. I recommend going to Michaels or any other craft store for your needs, NOT Learning Express of Denville.
