If youre in Brigantine looking for good seafood DO NOT stop at the Crab Shack. My wife and I had take out the other night and it was terrible. First, the fried oysters were mostly bread crumbs and very soggy. They should have been lightly battered and fried quickly. The soft shell crabs had an off taste and smelled very fishy. Were from New England and have had both many times. These were the worst weve ever had. Lesson: If the place is small and the menu vast, there is a good chance the food is frozen and not fresh. Give the place a pass.

Just "tried" to finish a take out order of "clam strips" ... what a joke. These were more like bait clam strips...too big and tough and the breading/batter was really bad. You need to get your clam strips from a better place, and not the local bait store. It really is a shame that people vacationing on Brigantine are sooooo limited to their choice of good restaurants.

Underwhelming is the best way to describe our experience. The decor is outdated and tacky and the bathroom was suprisingly unclean. Were also puzzled as to why water was served in red solo cups. Since when is the fish of fish and chips breaded in Italian bread crumbs? It came with single serving sealed packets of tartar sauce and soggy unseasoned fries.

Without doubt this restaurant has the best seafood I have had in my lifetime! The crab cakes are amazing with no fillers! The lobster bisque is delicious with chunks of fresh lobster. The seafood I ate was very fresh. The portion size is generous. I highly recommend the Family A platter.

The owner is a piece of poop served me rotten food when i complain he therw me out i was gonna punch him in the face but didnt want trouble He will pay big time. When he gives the next batch of rotten musscles out serves his food with plastic utensils trust in me stay away from

Great service.Scallops were great appetizer.Stuffed flounder was awesome and stuffing was really crab.The fish and chips were five pieces of fish!Truly a great experience.Our server was knowledge and answered all our questions and made suggestions.

If you like fried flounder, this place is great. The friend shrimp werent that great, but the flounder and crabcakes are really good. Service isnt very good if you dine in, but its a small place, so you cant expect too much.

My partner and I really enjoyed our visit. The owner was very friendly and attentive. The oyster sandwich and the lobster roll were delicious and the stuffed mushrooms put a smile on our faces. We will be back !

Lobster broil was good, but my gfs soup was cold and there were NOT chunks of lobster in the lobster bisque, as she was told. The tuna on my friends "blackened tuna" Caesar Salad was overcooked and gray.

Old school take out seafood restaurant. Seems popular and has been in business for many years. I think it is overpriced. A pint of chowder was 9 bucks. Wasnt hot enough either. Worth the stop in.
