Found a gorgeous bedroom set at a really fair price (thanks Barb Ferguson!). We did search other furniture stores for the same set and no one could beat the price. We also negotiated for them to throw in two free lamps, which they did. Delivery was scheduled for a week after we purchased it (our decision) and went back to add a mattress and box springs to be delivered with the set. This was done 3 days before our scheduled delivery date and the salesman (Don) was more than happy to arrange this to be delivered all at once. I cannot report on the delivery as it hasnt happened yet. If we have poor delivery service I will be back here to report it. I have to mention the customer service we received from the gal behind the counter typing in the sale information. I dont recall her name (African-American gal who had a lot of purple on ;)) She was awesome!!!! She had such a great attitude and was very friendly and personable. All of the folks we encountered at the Valley Park location were professional and polite, not pushy. Although negotiating the price of the furniture was like buying a car (Barb had to consult with the manager a few times) once it was done we were happy.

We went here for the first time to buy a new mattress (and look at everything else). The store was HUGE. You wouldnt know it by looking on the outside but its like this maze of endless furniture on the inside. We were greeted at the door by Marv and spent some time testing out all the mattresses. He was very helpful in educating us about how mattresses are made and the pros/cons of spring vs. memory foam vs. hybrid. We wouldnt make a decision that day, which ended up being fine--nobody pressured us to buy anything right away. We went back the next day and found Marv again. Laid on every single mattresses again and finally bought our new king size plush mattress! Everybody who helped us was very nice. Its definitely the right mix of "constantly being pestered" and "ummm, can someone help us?"

My wife and I were upgrading our 24 year old bedroom furniture. When i say we went to every furniture store in the area where I live (Ballwin), I mean it. All the places we searched, from the low end places to top of line, had furniture cheaply made for the prices quoted. We finally made it to Carol House Furniture in Valley Park and I was very impressed with the quality of furniture and prices. Our sales person Rosie was very helpful and not at all stalkish or pushy. The young guys who delivered the furniture were polite professional and wearing carol house uniforms. My wife and I are kicking ourselves that we did not start at Carol House. I guarantee they will be the first place I shop next time!

I cant say enough about the salesperson, Andrew, who helped me find and make my purchase. And when I decided, the next day when Andrew wasnt there to change my color choices, John did an outstanding job of helping me accomplish that. The office staff who helped me set up financing and delivery were very competent and helpful. Everyone was friendly as well. My only complaint is that for an office environment, the female office staff had a great deal excessive cleavage showing. Its inappropriate, unprofessional and shows a disregard for customers. Both times I went into the store I was alone. Im glad I didnt bring my children, a sibling, my parents or a number of other people with me.

Some of the worst customer service I have experienced! First we orderd a few pieces of furniture that we were told would only take 2 to 3 weeks to come in. We find out after 3 weeks that special order items take 8 to 12 weeks. The furniture was purchased at the valley park location, when it came in we were told it was ready for pick up in Maryland Heights. When we went to pick up of special order chairs, we did not even receive a thank you for our business, not to mention the three persons we talked to were rude. AMAZING THAT IN THIS ECONOMY THERE IS STILL CUSTOMER SERVICE LIKE THIS! THIS IS OUR LAST PURCHASE FROM CAROL HOUSE!

Krayfish - Oct 9, 2011 My family has been buying furniture from Carol House for over 50 years. We have always been satisfied with the quality of the furniture that weve purchased from them. It is high-quality furniture and long-lasting. Their customer service and sales staff are always polite and bend over backwards to assist their customers. The value of their pricing is by-far the best Ive found. We just bought a whole new apartment full of furniture from them and everything was perfect. The delivery men were very knowledgeable and had everything set up quickly. I always recommend Carol House to my friends.

While the remodel on the building looks great and was very much needed after all of these years, it shows in the prices A LOT! I have long been a CHF shopper for 20 years. I cannot believe how much their prices have gone up. 99% of the kitchen tables and chairs are NOT sold as sets, they are sold as separate tables ($800-1400) in addition to each chair starting out at ($125-300) PER CHAIR. I have never seen a store price their kitchen sets like this. I was very disappointed and felt that I would be the one paying for the remodel. I could not purchase my kitchen table here for these reasons.

WARNING AVOID SHOPPING HERE!! Love our furniture just not the experience. The sales lady helped us stick to our budget with 6 month financing. The shady business comes into play if a piece of your furniture isnt in stock. The sales lady hid the cost of that item to lock in the sale. $300 charge 6 weeks later when the piece came in really set the mood. The store wont work with me at all. Reading reviews from their own employees indicates this place is horrible to work for and that their sales team has to do anything they can to keep their jobs. DO NOT SHOP CAROL HOUSE!

Carol House customer service is the best. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. We bought living room furniture in March and have been enjoying it immensely. The end table had some trim pieces wearing off. I contacted customer service and Laura talked with the manufacturer and their finishing department and discovered it couldnt be refinished. She then offered to replace it, but we hesitated that a new table might do the same thing. She then offered to let me pick a different table. Everyone was very friendly and worked to find me a suitable table.

My husband and I were very impressed with the assistance we had from our salesperson, Joe. He was very patient, knowledgeable and seemed very genuine. We were looking for quality furniture and we were very happy with what Joe helped us decide on. I was also very surprised at the amount of inventory they had. From the outside I would never have guessed the size of the place! Joe also mentioned they are doing an expansion and will have even more inventory!! We will definitely recommend Carol House Furniture and would highly recommend working with Joe!
