If I could give ZERO stars, I would. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went for an eye exam to get a contact prescription and had a fine and normal appointment. I paid roughly $60 and made a comment about how the appointment was cheaper than I had expected, and no one said anything else. I go back a few weeks later to purchase six months worth of contacts and they tell me that I was charged wrong for my last visit and if I want to buy contacts I will have to pay the difference of THEIR mess up and the price of the contacts. Since when in retail does the customer have to pay more when the mistake is the companys fault? The staff was very difficult to work with and basically acted like I was at fault. They didnt even know what was going on for the fist ten minutes I was there because the previous person had recorded the appointment wrong. Again, not my fault! I was late back to work during my lunch hour because it took so long, and I left with only my prescription after they made me pay $50 to get it even though Id already had the appointment and paid before! I will take my prescription somewhere else that deserves the business for having good customer care. Their unwillingness to make the situation right has lost my business for good. Save yourself the hassle and being ripped off for extra money when you check out and go somewhere else!

I always enjoy going to see Dr. Vangilder. He is an old school gentleman who takes his time to measure your eyes carefully and explains what he is doing at every step. I don’t always buy my glasses at Walmart, but I always get my prescription from Dr. Robert Vangilder.

Dr VanGilder is awesome. Very thorough exam and doesnt rush through your appt like other places. Great selection to choose from at good prices. You have an issue with glasses, see Michael office manager. Hes very knowlegable.
