Terrible experience for a trucking family. We were laid over today (7/19/15) in Springfield, MO due to a mechanical issue with our Volvo Truck. Volvo could not repair the truck until tomorrow, 7/20/2015. My husband and I and our three children decided to relax in the Kum and Go truck stop for a few hours so that we could be seen at Volvo the next day. Wed been there a couple of hours when I was approached by a robust female employee stating that we could not loiter in the facility. I told her that we were not loitering and that my husband was a truck driver and we were just sitting in the truckers area. I explained we were laid over 1 day due to maintenance issues on our truck and we were not disturbing anyone. She insisted that we leave. Mind you there were drivers who had been there longer than us and she didnt confront them at all. I told her to inform my husband and began to pack our laptops and tablets. By the time we got outside to load up the truck and leave the premises two police cruisers pulled up. Apparently she called the cops prior to informing us to leave. We were approached by 4 police officers demanding that we leave and asking where we would go. I have never been so humiliated in my life!! We travel all over the country and have never been treated so rudely. I would not recommend this truck stop to anyone in the future....especially if you plan to stay more than 1 hour. They will lie on you to push you out of the doors. Terrible experience!!

The store reps are very helpful and courteous. The store is clean, Ive not used the bathroom. Their air pump outside is pretty poor. It takes a very long time to air a tire.
