I owned a 2004 Chevy 2500HD with gas engine that had 200,000+ miles on it, and it was time to replace it. The problem? Its difficult to find a standard cab, long bed, diesel work truck at a reasonable "utility" price nowadays, because everyone wants the huge cabin while I want a simple work truck for the farm. I found Midwest Motors by searching through AutoTrader ads. When I saw they had a 2007 Ford F-250 available, I gave Meg (owner) a call and drove the hour and a half from my home to Midwest Motors. I looked over the truck carefully, knowing that Fords 6.0 PowerStroke diesel from the 03-07 years were "iffy". Everything was just as advertised. When it came time for pricing, they were up front with the price she needed and the price she could give for my truck, and I didnt have to dicker around on the pricing to find something that worked for my budget and their business needs -- thats critical for me because I *hate* *hate* *hate* that part of the process (and its why we need to allow alternatives to the new car dealership model in general). The truck came with a 1-month, 50% parts+labor warranty on the powertrain components, something you very rarely find from any used vehicle dealer (generally, everythings "as-is"), so that if something goes wrong initially, theyre not just sticking you with "buyer beware". Ive already put a few hundred miles on the vehicle in the first week, and am very pleased with the purchase.

Absolutely awful dealership. Lied about where the truck I bought came from, lied and charged me for repairs they did not do, and when confronted they placed the blame on me. Stating that having my truck for 10 days and requesting updates forced their hand. They also falsely diagnosed a $5000 repair, and they were caught. When presented with the facts through the BBB, Midwest Motors could not come up with anymore lies it went against their rating. Dont believe a word from their reps or the owners. This is a dealer to avoid at all cost. There is a reason that they do not offer a CARFAX here. They are trying to hide where they are getting the trucks from and the problems they have. Dont let their fabricated Google reviews convince you otherwise. There will be several new 5 star ratings after this gets posted. These guys are trashy crooks. Avoid this dealer!!!

After driving up to see a truck that was advertised, and calling to confirm, it was not there when I arrived. The salesman was extremely rude when I brought up the fact I had confirmed and the 3+ hours I had to drive. Looking around their lot, it is clear these guys are selling and trading problem cars/trucks. Oil leaks, beat up trucks, missing trim, and faded paint. Everything had fresh tire shine and a detail though... I would highly NOT recommend anyone making the drive to Midwest Motors. Tim

I purchased a 2007 Ford Ranger at Midwest Motors and had nothing but a pleasant experience with all the staff. The vehicle I bought was well displayed as well as the entire inventory. The store was clean and comfortable. I continue to have preventive maintenance done on both of my vehicles. I have referred this place to friends and family, both of which have had service done or purchased vehicles there. I recommend them to everybody

My boyfriend had the worst experience with this dealership. After test driving a GMC, he popped the hood and checked the oil, and there was absolutely no oil in the truck. When he saw this, he offered less than they wanted for the truck, and the saleswoman became extremely arrogant to the point of offending him. Before any of this occurred it also took about 15 minutes for anyone to help us out. I wouldnt go back to this dealership

I dont usually write reviews but I wanted to just comment on the quality of service received at Midwest Motors for the past 7+ years. We have done everything there - bought a car, routine maintenance, inspections, tires, etc. Every experience was very positive and they were always wiling to work with me on service times and honestly discussed what work was needed on our cars. 5 stars to Meg, Art, Caryl and their staff!

My salesman, Jay, was extremely helpful and patient with me. We took our time on a nice, thorough test drive, even though I had arrived just minutes before the dealership was closing. Jay stayed late to help me make sure I was looking at the right truck for my needs and he worked to get me a good deal on both the price and the interest rate. I highly recommend this dealership and Jay in particular!!

Ive been doing business with these guys for nearly five years -- bought a few cars, and now that they have a top of the line service department, they do all of the service work we need at very reasonable prices. Shop the new car dealerships all you want, but if you want a reasonably priced like-new vehicle for a fraction of the cost, theres no better place. Thanks Midwest!
