I just had the single worst shopping experience ever at the Dardenne Prairie, MO JCP store. I was shopping with my son for a suit for him. The prices were not clearly marked/not marked at all on some items. I was unable to find an associate to assist. No assistance with dressing room. I could not find the mens coats at all. I walked from area to area looking for someone to help. Finally after finding a suit and accessories(no price tag on Jacket/or rack), pants did have price-we walked across store to shoe area, passing at least six associates who appeared from nowhere, not one looked at us or spoke to us. Took 2 pairs of shoes to desk for help. This associate was very unfriendly. Got a size 12 for my son to try on of one style shoe. Was too large. Asked for 11 1/2 or 11 for both styles to try on. she instead took a phone call, that appeared to be from another associate, who was asking about an item. She went on to discuss with this other associate for several minutes product numbers, etc. then held up her finger to us, as we were disrupting her. She walked over to womens boots and started examining them. We walked away, she said "what you dont want shoes now?" We went to the checkout where there was a large line and only one cashier. I loudly complained about the line and my poor customer service during my visit. The cashier called two more cashiers to the front. He called three more times. Then another cashier came. She asked me if I found everything I needed. I said no. She asked me if i wanted the hangers, I said yes. She crammmed my $250 worth of merchandise in a bag, I would have preferred the suit be in a suit bag, or not in a bag rather than crammed in a small bag. But oh well, I left. I plan on shopping at another store chain--maybe Macys or Khols-- tomorrow for a new suit, and returning the wadded up suit, to the store it was purchased from. I assume the other store will appreciate my business and my $250. Simply this sucked. I love being treated like a nobody. But from now on, will spend my money somewhere else.

Ive LOVE JCP selection of kids shoes and their great prices. Unfortunally both times I went in, the customer service was sadly lacking. The first time, I waited 20 plus minutes with two associates talking right next to me in the shoe section before one offered help. Today the lady was less than receptive and helpful, seeming disgusted she had to help my child and get his shoe size. Very disappointed.

The customer service at JCP is outstanding. Everytime I shop there I am greeted by friendly associates who are always enthusiastic about helping me find what I need. There are other stores I have been to that lack this characteristic. I do wish they had more merchandise in certain departments, but other than that my experience was great. I will be back.

Lovely, well made fashions with great pricing. Many styles from which to choose. A favorite store for many years for both adult and Childrens clothing as well as the best home goods and drapery selections to be found

Not enough staff. Teenagers often are busy talking and super slow at checking out guests. Dressing rooms are often full of clothing that need to be out away.

This is a good JC Penneys. It is stand alone so you dont have to mess with mall parking.
