If this review were based on my initial experience, I would have rated it "Excellent". However, I have since been two other times, and each time have left more than a bit disappointed. The second time I went, I went with some friends, and we sat outside. Our waitress seemed annoyed that we asked for a menu (perhaps most are regulars), and acted like our request to describe their specialty drinks was ridiculous. After we ordered our first drink and didnt seem to be ordering anything else quickly enough, we didnt see her for at least another hour. If she was busy, she could have mentioned that and apologized. She didnt. We were actually going to order some coffee and something to eat, but she returned so late we decided against it. My most recent visit was with my family for "Family Night". The pizza was overpriced, and they didnt even have the vegetable option. When I asked if we could add some veggies to the meat option, I was informed these were frozen pizzas. Then, we ordered the smores kit. The chocolate was Hersheys chocolate. This is a chocolate bar with chocolate bars for sale in front, and they dont even use their own chocolate. Way overpriced for frozen pizza and grocery store smores. This might be the place for drinks and nice chocolate, but nothing else.

I seriously am in love with this place! My friend brought me here about a week ago...and Ive already been back twice. Took my husband there on a date tonight and he even loved it which is a big deal because hes much more of a critic :) I had heard before I went there that the drinks were a little pricey- but really, they arent any more expensive than Starbucks and they are a hundred times better than Starbucks. You definitely get what you pay for here. The employees are all so friendly and so helpful (Im kind of a coffee newbie). I really cant get over how friendly they are, actually. I am HUGE into customer service, and these guys surpass all my expectations every time. They really take the time to take care of their customers and that is something you dont get really anywhere. Had dinner tonight and I was very very pleased with how good it was. The pumpkin bread we got for dessert to go with our coffee was equally as delicious :) The place itself is very cute and cozy. I LOVE that they have cushioned seats out by several fire pits. Not too loud and just very chill. Can you tell Im pretty much obsessed? :P

This place is nice. Its a hipster den. They have a few sandwiches on the menu but their main business is booze, chocolate and coffee. Youll want to eat a meal before you go. Their specialty martinis are good--$9 each. Their truffles are $2.50 each. They were all good, although I had the matcha truffle and was dissapointed. There was barely a spinkling of matcha on the top of a regular chocolate truffle. No matcha filling. Their coffee all has tasting notes. They also have wine and what appears to be a full bar. They do have Coke products and other specialty sodas as well as ice cream. Their indoor seating is a little crowded. They have a nice outdoor area with a couple of fire pits. The service was a little bit lacking. Just a little slow and the waitress didnt attend our table very often. But they were very nice. When it came time to pay, there was absolutely no problem spliting up the check. They used an iPad with square and just rang us out at the table individually. I would go again.

2 friends and I went this past Saturday night to catch up from high school. Well we put our order in and the gentleman behind the counter was very polite and I did tip him too. Well the side where you order coffee was very busy so naturally we saw the bar side was not busy at all so we sat in there. Well we drank our coffee and finished them within 10 minutes. Well I havent seen them in months, so we of course talked for another 15 minutes till we were interrupted by one of the bar tenders who said that they wanted seat the next dinner guest and we should probably leave... well we got up and left immediately after and we went out the front door... well there was no one waiting for a table no one putting their order in nothing. This was my first time there and my last. We werent loud or there 2 hours we were there to simply catch up and only there for 30 minutes or less and got kicked out... okay

I was fortunate to go to the wine and chocolate tasting recently sponsored by Missouri Baptist Hospital held at Plaza Frontenac. By far VB Chocolates exceeded the other samplings at this event. We live in Sunset Hills and would not have a second thought about driving to Cottleville, MO, to partake of this product. I have a "girls" group and this product will be introduced at our next gathering!! Thank you VB Chocolates for your passion!!!

Chocolate Bar is an incredible place. No matter the time of day, this place is amazing. The building decor is perfect for enjoying house-made chocolate and their wide array of chocolate inspired cocktails. Come in the morning too for some very delicious pour-over coffee. If you are a latte or cappuccino person, they use Oberweis milk which is a nice compliment to the attention to detail the baristas put into your beverage.

I went to VB Chocolate Bar with my girlfriend not knowing what to expect; I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the drinks and most of all the chocolate. The smore was easily one of the best chocolate treats I have ever had in my life. The setting was very fitting and the staff was quick to help and answer any questions. I left with a full stomach, a smile and an elevated knowledge of chocolate & coffee.

Great atmosphere, good coffee, board games, yummy looking candies, and amazing gooey butter brownies! We spent about 2 hours there playing chess on a board provided by them and drinking coffee. The only critique and/or request is that we went there on a Sunday morning and they were playing free-form jazz, which just seemed a little too hectic right off the bat. Other than that, we would definitely visit again!

If youre a true chef, afficianado, or just an amateur foodie and pass this place up, youre life and existence will be poorer for it. Uber friendly staff. Owner is a culinary GENIUS. From artisinal ice creams, super amazing beer and liquor, and even cigars and pastries and food... Not one thing available will disappoint you. Prices are absolutely no concern once youve sampled the quality!

I love this place. They have the best coffee, maybe one of the best Ive ever had!! Ive only been here late at night but have always enjoyed the atmosphere & friendly staff!! I would not recommend the sweet treats however. And I wish the smokers would take it far away. Im very sensitive to smoke, so you can be sitting outside & if someone lights up, I have to move or leave.

Went there Saturday for a birthday lunch with a friend so we were mostly about the food and chocolate. The ginger beer (nonalcoholic) was tasty and refreshing and the truffles were unique and outstanding, I particularly liked the Ghost Pepper Strawberry Caramel. I will definitely be going back and bringing whoever is with me to sample their spirits!
