We went to Cracker Barrel over the 4th of July holiday and it will probably be our last time to visit. When we were seated one of the wait staff stepped on a packaged jam and it shot just next to our feet. We notified our waitress, but it was never cleaned up. During our whole meal we were warning people not to step on it. The waitress acted like she didnt want to be there as it took several request just to get a second cup of coffee, much less anything else. We had to ask twice just to get our biscuits and cornbread, and thats a regular item that they deliver to your table automatically. The entire experience was bad from the time we sat down, not to mention when we paid our bill the guy at the register never even asked how our meal was. We thought we would express our disappointment to him, but never got the chance. We wont be back.

Problems began before we were even seated. They called our name over the PA and waited 15 seconds before another much more rude voice yelled our name. When we got to the receptionists podium, we were met with looks of contempt. After we were seated and handed menus in Spanish, we got an eye roll and more attitude when we asked for, God forbid, an English menu in America. Instead of asking us if we were ready to order, the waitress walked to our table and stood there staring at us without a word. Completely different experience from any other Cracker Barrel we have ever been to. Even as O sit here writing this, I can hear the same waitress giving an attitude to the table next to us. Keep it classy, folks...

I am amazed this Cracker Barrell is still open with the multiple problems they had in serving us. The manager was obviously frustrated and could be heard yelling at the servers; it took four tries before we finally got our order right. The food was typical for Cracker Barrell but the service was just BAD. The server and the manager were apologetic but neither offered to reduce the price of the meal even though we had so much trouble and did not get what we originally ordered. I dont recommend it unless something changes for the better.

Its been a while since we stopped into a Cracker Barrel and my last experience was much better than this one. This time the service was okay, the waitress was friendly, we were seated quickly. However, the food was simply horrible. We had a party of 9 and nobody went away with a good experience. The floor was slick under our feet as if it had been mopped with a greasy mop. Cracker Barrel has likely lost my business as I think this chain has likely lost its quality control.

This is the smallest Cracker Barrel that Ive ever seen. Its more of a cracker box than a barrel. They had to turn a table sideways in the middle of the room just to seat our party of 5. They also forgot us after we ordered. The manager even came by to apologise we had been waiting so long. Luckily, we had been having such a good time chatting that it wasnt a problem. You might also want to bring your own toilet paper, as only 1of the bathroom stalls had any available.

Not the best dinner. Ribeye was ordered medium, but was cooked dry. Not even just well done, but really dry. Also it was very thin, which will make it difficult to cook to perfection. Got a big salad as side wich was good, and also the hot bisquets was nice. Beer for your dinner is not an option, as they dont serve any. Not even alcohol free beer. This place was our last ressort in town, without getting junk food. We will avoid this chain in future.

The service was terrible. We sat there for 15 mins and not one person acknowledge us. One waitress came up to us and asked if we were waited on and we said no. She said I am off my shift and she took our order. Another couple sat near us also waited. Next to us a table of 4 sat down and a waitress waited on them before the couple that was there before them. The couple got up at went to manager. Not very clean. Food not so good.

Hostess was great! Such a difference from lunch to dinner. Waitress did not listen and I know why, the manager does not listen either. All a customer wants is a glass that is never empty or at least not empty for an entire meal after repeated requests. The food was good. However, we will not be returning to this location for dinner until there is a change in management that believes customer service is a priority.

First we had been traveling and were very hungry. Finally at 2:30 we found a Cracker Barrell the only place open on Thanksgiving which we were hoping for. We were seated and after about eight minutes we flagged someone to get some service. Found out our server wasnt there (??). Never got any biscuits but did get some to go. Some of our food was luke warm. The server that did wait on us stepped up and was pleasant.

Waitress Jalisa did a great job serving us. Took our order will check in on us. Concern applesauce was served room temperature at best. Also, was served in a plastic container like you got it at the store. Not real appealing. Temperature in the restaurant was extremely cold very uncomfortable. Dined at other Cracker Barrels and found the rooms to be very cold as well. Overall food was average.

Chicken was so tough I was literally unable to cut through it, server only refilled drinks when asked, server was not knowledgable about the menu, womens restroom was dirty and wet, dining area was generally unkept. Will not return. I didnt know there was such a thing as a "bad" Cracker Barrel before this experience. Lots of potential for improvement.

Worst service of any Cracker Barrel Ive been to. Waited 15 minutes for a server to come take our drink order and finally decided to leave after waiting that long seeing 4-5 servers standing near the kitchen doing nothing. It was not busy at all at the time we went and nobody even bothered to help until we picked up out menus and were walking out.

I started writing an essay on this review what went wrong and everything that was wrong, but chose to save all of you from that. Take my word for it - -the food was terrible, the service was atrocious and my tip was non existent.. Poor to fair does not describe my experience here this morning. Do yourselves a huge favor - - - Hit Waffle House!!

The food was not up to Cracker Barrel standard and the service was nice but bad. That is to say bad service with a smile. Charged for items we didnt order, coffee refills were sparse and we couldnt get a bag to take out muffin to go until we reached the register and the manager went and got us one. Good management, weak staff.

Cracker Barrel was a great addition to Vicksburg. I remember when it first opened years ago. Its pretty great as far as Cracker Barrels go. Their store selection is a lot bigger than most others Ive been to. Vicksburg is a small town, but what it lacks in events or things to do, it makes up for in its fine Southern cuisine.
