This place is a find! Dont let the humble exterior appearance fool you - I walked in at 6:15 on Saturday and there was a line of 5 people. Its popular for a reason. Its an Asian market but they speak English well and were very helpful. I really wanted fresh, local fish. I left with: 1) Flounder from the Mississippi sound (from the Halibut family) 2) Ground Mullet (excellent sideways jumpers from the local bayous) 3) Red Snapper (may not be local, but it was available) These 3 LARGE fish were only $16! This and veggies fed a family of 3. It was so fresh all it needed over stovetop was olive oil, fresh lemon, salt, pepper, garlic (added last so it didnt burn). Hours are posted open till 6:30 on Saturday but said they close at 6 (maybe it changed?) - they were still helping customers at 6:15 rather than turn them away. Awesome people. Will be back!

This place is a keeper!!! The locals know and get there early. Good selection of fresh fish, great prices and you will definately be back. The staff is extremely helpful and will even pack your fish in ice if you are driving a long distance. Well worth the trip from anywhere!
