The morning before gong to this Walmart on University I felt an ominous foreboding in the pit of my being. I thought it was due to my general distaste of shopping at and supporting Walmart and the sweatshop-enabled consumerism ideal it represents. But my husband has been watching a lot of Milton Freidman videos on YouTube and I decided to give even the worst strains of capitalism my benefit-of-the-doubt. My primary mission was to return an unopened, unused holiday item about a week after the initial purchase for the same item in a different color, because I mistakenly purchased the wrong color. I waited patiently in the customer service line and was told that all holiday items were final sale & that that was the location Managers decision. I respect that decision, but there was no sign that was posted anywhere near the items by the front of the store that said that all holiday items were final sale. I feel that this is incredibly unfair. They didnt even want to let me exchange the item. Finally after talking to the Manager he allowed me to exchange the item only. The manager seems to care about local customers less than George W. Bush cares about black people. The man at customer service was as helpful as he could be, but most of the other Walmart employees at this location are pretty rude and apathetic. If i had to describe this Walmart in only 3 words I would choose: Ghetto, Ratchet, & Embarrassment. So basically this particular Walmart makes you feel like you are in a capitalistic nightmare. It makes Soviet-era communism appealing. This store is unworthy to bare the name of Walmart. This store is a disgrace to Sam Walton and his whole entire family. This Walmart is the epitome of the decline of Western Civilization as we know it. As the Walmarts in the Midwest fall, all of American society will fall along with it. We need to get back to the American values that this country was founded on. In closing, if our Founding Fathers knew that a Walmart such as this was to be birthed in the center of the United States of America, I think they would have just stayed in Britain under the oppressive monarchy because that would have been much better than providing for such a dump to operate.

Worst Walmart I have ever experienced. Went 2 years ago to buy supplies for a non-profit, and waited in at a check-out line for 10 minutes. Was directed to the customer service line because apparently in addition to state-issued tax exempt forms, you need a special wal-mart issued tax exempt card in order to purchase anything tax exempt at this store. After waiting an extremely irritating ONE HOUR in the customer service line, the customer service reps were completely clueless as to how to issue me a wal-mart tax exempt card. Finally talked to a manager who was able to painstakingly slowly figure it out and issue me a wal-mart tax exempt card. After all that, they suggested that I take my shiny new walmart tax exempt card over to the now extremely long "regular" check out line. I pretty much had to demand that they let me pay at the customer service desk. Fast forward two years. Im forced to return to buy more supplies for the non-profit where I work. By this time we do not have the original card that was such a hassle to get from Wal-Mart. This time I knew to go directly to the customer service line. I figured it would be easy for them to issue me a new card since our non-profit info is already in their system. Surprise surprise - the customer service reps had no idea what I was talking about. They directed me back to a "normal" register, saying I did not need an additional card. Again I told them I DID need a wal-mart tax exempt card in order to check out at a normal register. I waited 20 mins to talk to a manager, who took my info and ID and disappeared in the back room for another 20 minutes without so much as an "Ill be right back." Unbelievable. Finally got a new card, ONE. HOUR. LATER. And after all that, they directed me back to a "normal" check-out line to pay for my items. And to top it all off, I just noticed the lady at the register, who assured me she could process my walmart tax exempt form, charged me tax. Sigh.

I made a phone call asking if my local walmart has the product I found on the walmart website. The first phone representative just left me on the phone for about 5-10 minutes after I asked the question. I mean, it shouldnt take too long because theres only one aisle of heaters and it only takes about 30 seconds or 1 minute to walk from the customer service desk to that department. I felt like Ive been ignored and not even sure if theyre going to come back to answer my question. Ive called back and spoke to another representative, who doesnt speak English very clearly. I told her about the issue and she just ignores it. I ask her the question again and shes asking me further with anger like, "but what kind of heaters do you want? youre not telling me. Is it for the car or (something I cant even understand what she said)?" I was so mad and told her that I already mentioned the brand at first and that its for home, not for car. She was like, "You didnt tell me, how could I know. I know youre mad but Im not the person you talk to." I told her that I understand that, but she should have listened better because Ive already told her in the first place. I guess she was mad, and just hung up on me. I called back and she never answered. Well, I guess they might have blocked my number. HAHA! But seriously, Walmart? This should not be how customer service representatives behave. Its just very annoying and childish. These people are not professional and cant be useful at what theyre doing. Ive had so many bad experience here with rude associates also. I would never recommend this store to ANOYONE unless I extremely hate them and want them to be upset. Worst walmart out of all walmart stores in the world!!!!!
