I think this place got sold from when it was Liquor Barrel. The appeal of the place (at least for me) was that it was a very good balance of price and location in the lakes/east of 100 area (Liquor Boy is certainly cheaper, but you have to drive all the way to West End. MGM and France 44 are more expensive, but closer. All have a better selection.). However, it appears theyre raised their prices since when I was last there (and it was Liquor Boy) to be in line with France 44 and MGM. Also, everything I purchased rang up at least $2-$5 more expensive than marked, which is frustrating. Probably wont be back.

Great spot - Went here to grab some drinks during my first weekend in St. Louis Park and the owner gave us free shots...which is not the worst way to start a night. The selection isnt the largest here, but its fine if you arent looking for anything too specific.

Thank God a liquor store actually cares about the product and customer service. Even if the four firkins was still around I would come here because this place is approachable and theyre not pretentious. Take notes- this is how a liquor store is done people.
