I stopped by for the $20 special for 4th of July tattooing event and waited approximately 8 hours for my ticket to get called. Waiting was not a problem for me but it did seem to me like the staff was not expecting as many people that showed up that day and seem a tad bit unprepared. When I was finally tattooed my artist, Jake, pushed unnecessarily hard with the tattoo gun and had to keep adjusting it... and my best guess to as why is so that way he wouldnt have to go back over the ink since the place was hopping like crazy. After cleaning my tattoo the next day I I realized that there were chunks and parts of my tattoo where Jake had done the lining very thin and I was a little disappointed. I ended up getting two tattoos and both had multiple thin spots on them. One of my tattoos (now that it has almost healed) i can see that there is such thin lining in one area that it looks like a gap in my tattoo. My advice to this shop is if youre going to do a tattoo special make sure you still end up taking care of everybody and treating them like a regular time customer even though youre in a hurry. I understand the tattoos are $20 but the quality in an artist should stay the same just like any other day. Now I have to pay to have the tattoos touched up. Some may not call that a big deal but I really didnt want to have to deal with this.

Hated it. Went for the 20$ Halloween tattoo special and my tattoo is HORRIBLE. The line work is so shakey it looks like an inexperienced friend did it in her basement. Its very red and angry and this has happened with none of my other tattoos. My artist kept complaining about how tired she was and told us she only had two MONTHS experience halfway through my tattoo. Everyone in the shop was yelling at eachother, and was just plain unprofessional. I would definitely not recommend this place and cannot wait to get this botched "Rose" fixed.

Paid 60$ on a deposit for a 600$ piece on my neck. 1 month later "artist" axle doesnt respond to messages about updates on drawing. Called the parlour and said I want to speak with the owner for my 60$... Nothing. Im going to small claims. Its only 60$ but they can also pay the 250$ to appear. Should be called jokers ink... bums. Update: Apparently if the "artist" doesnt follow through with their work after a deposit thats between you and them as an independent contractor. Great way to run a business!!!!! Their a joke....

I went to Mafia Ink Studio to have my outdated tattoo re-done. Chop worked on my tattoo which is a large picture of a tiger in the woods on my left forearm. I couldnt believe how amazing it turned out! Chop totally re-created the image to the point it looks like it is alive and ready to jump out of my arm. He is a true artist. It was drawn by free hand. I would highly recommend his work to anyone. Thanks Chop!

I have had work done by Pork Chop but he is no longer at this shop. So when I came back to get work done I seen Jake, his new school style is amazing! his graffiti work is unbelievable. I would most def recommend him to anyone I know. In fact he has done work on three of my friends since me. His color is amazing and his line work is so crisp!!! thanks jake

i have now gotten 3 tattoos from Axel at Maplewood.... this company is by far the best .... their prices are awesome but that being said the quality of the tattoo is exceptional!!!!! if you are really considering a tattoo in MN please give them a shot. Axel and the others can take a concept and give you the best tattoo youll ever dream of

Jake did a very horrible job on my tattoo. First he booked another appointment same time as mines then we started late at 1pm and ended at 3:30pm. Thats 3 1/2 hours. My tattoo doesnt match the idea and picture I showed. . I was charged $300 and didnt even get a full session. I am very disappointed in his work. Will not be coming back.

I have had several tattoos done by Cory Dee. One done by Alex. The work is always excellent, the staff and artists are friendly. The environment is clean and the costs are reasonable. I have been going to this shop since they opened and have never had a bad experience.

The owner Corey doesnt care if his employees disrespect the customers, he also isnt a very nice person either so because of how i got treated ill never spend my money there again, if a person is nice to you than you should be nice to them at least thats how i am

Got the worst tattoo of my life here. And on my chest for everyone to see to make it even worse. Some of the artists here are great but my last time around was a horrible experience and it was very unprofessional.

the workers here are very snobby and rude, and they dont reply to your Facebook messages either. it also looks super unclean inside the store, i wouldnt recommend going.
