I am already getting my tattoo removed that I got in the summer that Josh did...He screwed up and did not listen to what I wanted, but what he wanted. It sucks now I have to pay an arn and a leg to get this ugly tattoo removed. I told him i didnt want a part of it and he went ahead anyway and tattooed it on me...It sucks...I am embarassed to even show anyone and now a new artist has 2 cover up his mistake. He also had to change my appt around a bunch of times...because he was to lazy to get to the shop at the time he was supposed to. I also felt rushed because he did not block off enough time to complete the tattoo. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Nice I love how this place has the people that work here write reviews...and to answer your question tattoo artist who wrote this above...HALF is getting Lasered and the OTHER HALF is getting covered up! PURE LAZINESS....Oh and this shop is located in the GHETTO of Minneapolis...what makes you think this is a clean place. Dr. Towey at the Tattoo Removal Shop even said the the colors that Josh used...just didnt fit the tattoo..and that was after my first couple of treatments...DONT GO HERE!!!! EVER Much better places in the cities...Really good place in Hopkins that has a waiting list to see the artists...

Thats my first review and im really not good at writing this stuff.First one thing:my english is weird, but please try to understand me.Im from Germany and i live here in the States for a year, because im an au pair (nanny),so my job is to take care of kids. I was thinking to get a tattoo in Germany, too, but it was always too expensive for me,but know i could do it.... I chose Twilight Tattoo in Minneapolis because i read so much good stuff. I went there today,i was totally scared and i have to say that it hurts a lot ( but im really algesic, dont know if you understand me,but im talking about, that im reacting very sensitive...) Charlie did my Tattoo and he really did an AWESOME job...i love my tattoo and the pain was the price for that! Go there, get your tattoo and be happy! Awesome people and funny place...^^ :-) Greeting from the german girl, Saskia

I agree with the review by DO NOT GO HERE below. And I also never write reviews, but went out of my way to find this horrible place online so that I could prevent others from going here. I also had a tattoo done by Josh recently. He was EXTREMELY rude, arrogant, and had a crap attitude that tells me he thinks hes too badass to do his job. Worst, he did not listen to what I wanted. Ive been to several tattoo places, but Josh just made the experience feel gross. I will never go back, and I ask anyone reading this to NOT GO HERE. - I have multiple tattoos from all over, and I resent the BS attitude that says some culture gets to decide who is "cool enough" or from a "ghetto" enough part of the city to deserve tattoos. - It is art, and it should be a positive experience. Which it will NOT be if you go to Twilight.

I never write reviews but after reading the one "Do not go here" written by blah, I decided it was necessary. I have had three pieces done by Shane at Twilight and one by Josh and they are gorgeous. The artists are extremely innovative and take a lot of pride in their work. I recommend Twilight to all my good friends. And as for the cleanliness and sterility of the place it is impeccable. Blah you are a total d-bag and you dont deserve to have good tattoos. So go somewhere else you lame-a#$! Go get tattooed in the burbs where you dont have to deal with ghettos. And you are right, Electric Dragonland in Hopkins which must be what you are referencing is fantastic. But you are not cool enough to go there so stay away you chode :0

I found out about his place from Pinterest when I was looking for ideas for a mastectomy tattoo. I was excited to see that their tattoo artist Shane Wallin specializes in this art. After doing a bit more research and seeing more of Shanes work I was signed up for his waiting list. My wait for my consult was about 6 month but TOTALLY worth the wait. He took a lot of time mapping out the ideas I sent him and working to create a cohesive design that would go across both my breasts to help cover scars. Today I had my first session and Im obecessed with my new art work! Shane has transformed my scars into something that makes me want to run around topless. (Lol, but seriously it does) Thank you Shane for helping me feel beautiful again!

So my husband and I just got married on 10/3/09. We went on our honeymoon to MN to go visit the Mall of America and while we were there we decided to get our wedding date tattooed. We got a referral from the reviews and from on the street from two very nice locals to go to the Twilight tattoo shop. So we went and we ended up getting in, without an appointment, for our tats to be done by Charlie. He was a total pro, knocked our tats in no time and to boot he was super cool and nice. And the other guys in the shop were really cool as well, which made it an awesome experience. So being a stranger to Minneapolis, MN I would totally recommend going to the Twilight tattoo shop for your next tat. Thanks again Charlie!

Ive gotten two tattoos from Emilie Robinson at Twilight, and shes an absolute delight. I was a little panicky about my first tattoo but Emilie did a great job of putting me at ease. She was patient and sweet and always professional. She clearly works hard on drawing consults, even on smaller (and therefore cheaper) tattoos like mine. Booking was painless and efficient, even though she has a lengthy waitlist of customers (/adoring fans). Shes a true artist with incredible talent, and I feel pretty lucky to have her art on my body. Check out her instagram for some stunning tattoos: @emilierobinsontattoo

I went for a walk-in with Emilie, but I wouldve had to wait a long while (I was there right when it opened and there was already 6 people ahead of me - come early if youre going to a walk-in with emilie!!). Since I had the drawing already, Emilie recommended I go with Julie, who had had a couple of cancellations so she was open to tattoo walk-ins. I LOVE JULIE. My tattoo was my 1st one, and she made sure I was completely comfortable, and explained all the aftercare very coherently. The shop itself is beautiful and filled with wonderful artwork. Will definitely go back!!

Very happy with my first tattoo. I searched far and wide for someone who had great sense of color and proportions. Julie Freeland did such an awesome job with the design - super precise lines, and the colors are bright and beautiful. She wasnt afraid to let me know what she was most comfortable with and I am glad I listened to her advice. Twilight Tattoo itself was very clean and comfortable. Ive already given recommendations to others - some of which were people who asked where I got mine from. Thanks TT lets do it again
