My husband and I are extremely disappointed with Hom Furniture. I dont know if we will ever shop at a Hom Furniture again. We feel the company is not trust worthy and dont stand behind their products. I am quite upset with the high rating reviews of their products dont seem real. It was our first time visiting the HF in Plymouth. Initially we were really impressed with the overall apearance of the stores layout and welcome. We were immediately welcomed and helped right away. The designer listened to what I we were looking for and showed us several options. Id give the initial interactions 5 stars because I felt she really went out of her way to find what we were looking for. We loved their Dozer Power Sofa Porcini Recliner, and I mean LOVE! Its the most comfy and romantic furniture weve ever sat on. It is a power recliner with 2 seats, and each seat is extra wide. Each seat is wide enough for hubby and I to sit and snuggle comfortably together to watch movies. And if we have a couple friend over, they can share the other seat. The only ideal furniture we found amongst several other stores: Edina LAZ Boys, Minnetonka Slumberland, Roseville Macys, and Roseville Beckers. We were ready to buy it, but then this was when the problems began: We noticed that on each end of the sofa, the arm/head rest was cheaply designed bc the cushion does not completely cover the inner arm of the sofa. So we would have to be careful not to hit the inner arm of the sofa to not get hurt. That should not be the case for a lounge comfy sofa. We were willing to overlook that design or craftsmanship flaw bc overall, that power recline sofa was extremely comfy and unique and we couldnt find anything better at Rosevilles Becker nor Roseville Macys Furn. But we looked up reviews on it, and the initial reviews we found were on HF website indicating a 5 stars on it from 5 people yet HF does not show who the reviewers are nor the comments from the reviews like the way Google reviews show. Pretty sketchy. We finally found some reviews from other people and the comments under Consumer Complaints Reviews and they were mostly 1 star reviews. The sofa recliner they sell appears to be the Siesta Porcini catnapper power recliner manufactured by Jackson, just listed as a slightly different name at HF. The model looks exactly the same and the product description is identical. The reviews there basically said that the furniture lasts about 2 years and their customer service is not helpful. Hom Furniture reviews didnt show who the reviewers are nor the comments. If in fact, it is the same product manufacturered by Jackson, then I question the quality of the products they sell. And that is the impression that my hysband and I have about HF. I dont like the fact it was practically impossible to find reviews of that product. Were willing to pay more for a quality product, but my husband and I felt like the product wouldnt last long and that it was not disclosed. Also, the only color they had to model was the same color as our carpet at home. So glad we didnt buy it bc we probably wouldve had buyers remorse later on.

I am extremely disappointed in the customer service at HOM Furniture in Plymouth. We recently bought a couch and were told it would deliver this past Saturday. We are currently waiting to move into our new home in May and were told that absolutely under no circumstances could they hold the couch for us in their warehouse since it was a clearance item (even though their were several other clearance items that we could see were in hold for 2 weeks+). We loved the couch so much that we convinced one of our friends, who is a pilot, to let us store the couch at his house since HOM wasnt willing to store it for us despite clearly making a profit from our purchase. Our friend waited at his house all day on Saturday waiting for the couch to be delivered and it never arrived. I called 3 times on Saturday evening to figure out what happened and was given zero information other than that they werent sure what happened and that it was the warehouses fault. They promised me a return phone call after they "consulted" with a supervisor about next steps and I never got a return call. Since our friend is a pilot, he is rarely home and wasted one of his few days off sitting around waiting for the couch to arrive which never did. We never once received an apology for all the hassle and still have received absolutely zero follow up. Being a supervisor myself, I hope management reads this message and addresses what went wrong and helps to rectify what happened so that this doesnt happen to others. You have a beautiful store with great items but none of that matters if you have mediocre customer service at best and cant commit to your promises. My last complaint/suggestion would be to remind Rich in this store to never take his tie off in front of customers and remind them that you are closing. We were there 1 minute past closing and were purchasing items. We all get tired at the end of our shifts but it is not okay to take it out on customers and not so subtly remind us that you have better things to do with your time.

I went to this HOM Furniture, and bought a Mattress and a Couch. I had them both delivered on separate days. Customer Service: The Mattress section of HOM Furniture had great customer service. They always extended a hand in helping me pick a mattress, and what I should look for, plus tips. The furniture section however, is another story. One sales guy dragged me around, showing me all of the most expensive furniture they had (Like a 6,500 leather couch, after noting Im not a fan of leather). Then went I came back later to buy a different couch, the man was completely emotionless. Note: Even though the customer service was not the greatest, I did get everything I wanted, effectively, and in a fast manner. Selection: They had a wide selection of options. The Plymouth location specifically, has a lot more....expensive variety. You can tell that this store is more for the upper class, however they do have quite a bit of normal selection. It is a large store, with a lot of options. Delivery: (If it matters, they were obviously born/raised in the US) They called me, and said they could be early if it is convenient for me. I accepted. They showed up, and setup my mattress with no issues at all. When they delivered my couch (Also American), it was actually too large to bring through the front door, as my ceiling is lowered. They ended up carrying the couch, around the back, over a fence, and through my screen door. They did this without showing much irritation (I would have been extremely irritated). Ashley/Mart Comparison: HOM Furniture competes quite well, except for the Customer Service part. Ashley/Mart excels quite a bit in that area. If you dont know what you are looking for, I would suggest Ashley/Mart. However if you have a good idea, HOM Furniture is just as good. DISCLAIMER: I have never worked in a furniture store, nor do I now. This was my first time going out to buy furniture.
