The comment by the guy on Oct30,2009 shows a very snobbish attitude. Tobacco Grove isnt about being High Class or "Olde World" historic. Its a shop that owned by a couple of guys who enjoy cigars, conversation, and a laid-back atmosphere. Those guys that always play poker at the poker table have invited me to play on several occasions. They have walked into the humidor and "taken me under their wing" and explained their likes and dislikes with cigars and made great suggestions. The guys that work there are very knowledgeable, very courteous and fun to talk to. The first time I went in, they really took time to work with me to see what I liked. After that, they have remembered me every time Ive returned. My buddies and I will take a day off work, go to Tobacco Grove, sit down on the plush leather couches and watch afternoon Twins games on the large HDTV while puffing on our cigars. Its relaxing and casual. The humidor isnt huge, but they have a good selection; especially when you consider the limited space of the suite theyre in. The best way to describe Tobacco Grove is as your "Man Cave away from home".

Im incredibly new to smoking cigars. So when I went into the massive humidor at the store, it was quite overwhelming. One of the staff found us wandering around and asked if we needed any help. I described generally what I was looking for (a mild to medium strength cigar with plenty of flavor) and he walked us through the various brands that he enjoyed in that strength. He was incredibly knowledgeable about anything and everything cigar related. We walked out with a fist full of excellent cigars at a reasonable price and were sure to be back soon, especially during the cold season in Minnesota. We didnt try out the lounge, but the chairs and environment looked incredibly welcoming.

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting their shop. Being a new comer to the Cigar Industry I was pleasantly surprised by how kinda and helpful everyone there was. I met the owner and he went out of his was to show my friend and I some cigars in our price point. He also spent time to educate us and teach us on proper storage methods which is huge when buying in bulk. Although they have high end products, there is also a good amount for the regular/low end smoker like myself. If you need help or advice or looking for a REALLY good cigar selection, please visit them. Thanks guys!

Everything in the shop is either average and overpriced or high-end and at a high price-point. You can not hardly get out the door spending less than $100. If you are buying a wedding present or celebrating the birth of a first child, it is the place to go; if you just need some everyday smokes or accessories, there are much better places to go. There is always a bunch of guys playing poker in the corner, which is just silly. You can not have a old-school neighborhood hangout in a recently developed stripmall. It just does not work.

This place has some sticks that most people dont carry. I was pleased by there selection and atmosphere. Prices were definetly a little bit higher, but I imagine rent in a suite in Maple Grove is not cheap. I look forward to there montly events. Humidor is great! Accessories are many! They have a lot of neat stuff. Customer service was quiet, but they were busy installing some kind of unit so I wouldnt fault them for that yet. Nice clean place, would love to play poker with them! : )

First visit based on Internet search looking for indoor cigar lounge during cold MN winter. Buy or bring your own smokes. Good selection of the usual brands. Not large as store made room for those who want to can take chairs to plug into AC power for laptop. Comfy chairs, good ventilation, free WiFi (ask staff for code), several TVs. Think man cave. Regular customers play cribbage.

My go-to shop whenever Im looking for a smoke. Its an extra bonus that sampling is allowed indoors. Their selection has multiple brand representations and they can always make a recommendation if Im looking for suggestions. Cutters, lighters, pipes, and tobaccos; I rarely turn down a chance to stop in for a smoke.

This place is awesome, great selection of cigars. I like to go here and do some work, smoke a cigar and relax. Prices are within reason of other cigar shops. If you are a novice the staff here is very knowledgable and can make recommendations for cigars similar to what youve had in the past and liked.
